The Sunday Post

The Sunday Post
Hosted by:

The Sunday post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer~ It's a chance to share new ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Happy Sunday Funday!
The weather has been nice and in the upper 60's to mid 70's which is awesome. They say we are going to be getting warmer in the new week should be in the 90's. I'm not 100% sure I'm ready for the hot summer to start but sounds like we don't have a choice. I wish we had a few more rainy days but looks like that's over.

This week was kind of busy as school is coming to an end and summer is just around the corner. I didn't get as much reading done as I would have hoped but I think I did figure out my GDPR which has been a little stressful. I may not have it perfect but I'll keep tweaking it till I do.

Saw the movie Book Club yesterday with a good friend. It's a great movie, lots of laughs and I feel the need to give Fifty Shades of Grey another try. I do after all love the movies so maybe the books will be better this time around.

We are enjoying a nice quiet lazy day. I'm making pasta salad and the hubby is going to bbq burgers for dinner. I plan to attempt to finish my current read. We will see how that goes.

Crafty projects & Baking/cooking & Gardening
I've got a baby blanket to finish today as well as a blanket to make this week. I've just gotten so behind time is flying by. My little tomatoes are growing from last year. I think I may pick up a couple more plants for the season. We enjoyed them so much last year.

I made a cheesy herb bread this week that turned out amazing. I'm going to keep playing with the savory aspect of the sourdough. I need to make a sweet bread today but I think it's going to be apple cinnamon.

Quote/ fun stuff
I thought this was a great one to share.

What I've been watching recently....
I'm currently on season 8 of supernatural and I should be on 9 by the end of the week. My husband asked me what will I do when I run out of Supernatural. I asked him if he had seen my Netflix que because I have 100's of shows that I want to watch. I told him worse case I'll just binge watch friends over. He wasn't impressed with that option as I've done it a lot.

  1. I’m not ready for 100+ degree days, either. I kind of hate summer. I’m a spring/fall person. The GDPR stuff has been endlessly frustrating. Have a good week! Enjoy your new books.

  2. Oh I wish it was hot here! It's getting warmer but is still windy and occasionally stormy. I love lazy BBQ days, they're the best. That cheesy herb bread looks delicious!

  3. Mandy - I found your blog! It will be great to see you on COYER. As for 50 shades, I was only interested when Charlie Hunnam was going to be in it. lol I read some of it back in the fanfic days. How do you do so many cover reveals? I couldn't keep up. I only do reviews on the blog during the week and try to only do cover reveals or promos or deals on facebook. How are you making the baby blankets? I have done them with knitting but also with quilting. I can quilt one in a day if I focus on it, or maybe 2 days. 3 days would be optimal. A day for planning and cutting, a day for sewing it all together and then the day of finishing with hand sewing the binding. I love to hand sew the binding even if I use the machine for piecing. My grandmother was a huge crotchet talent. I have a wool blanket she did, but I prefer knitting even tho I know how to crochet. She taught me when I was about 9. I'm so excited for COYER! Especially now I've made my list and my plan. Anne - Books of My Heart
