Sunday Post

The Sunday Post
Hosted by:

The Sunday post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer~ It's a chance to share new ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Happy Mother's day to all the mothers out there Past, Present or soon to be moms.

It's been a busy week with my oldest doing state testing. Lots of running around to get to test sites. Sometimes home schooling isn't always the easiest but in the long run, it seems to work the best for him.
The hubby and I finally got out for date night without the kids. That's a rare chance to happen with the hubby gone, or kids always home. We went to his favorite place to eat Red Robin which is always yummy. We also saw the new Avengers movie which he's been dying to see. It was so good that even though I'm a DC girl I still watched it.
I haven't done a lot of sewing the last few months but yesterday I went shopping with my partner in crime and came home with a ton of new fabric to play with.

I'm still working on my current read....

My bestie has been pushing me to get current. I decided to start with a re-read of the first book and read them all. Still one of my favorite series so re-reading has been fun.

What you may have missed the past week
  • Newly added
In case you can't tell I've been on a romance kick recently

Crafty projects & Baking/cooking & Gardening
Finally got my sourdough figured out, and bread is flowing. I made regular, cinnamon raisin and a Romano herb bread so far. This week I've got a few more I want to try including an apple cinnamon and blueberry.
I had a quick trip to the fabric store and came home with a whole bunch of fabric I can't wait to create bags with.

Quote/ fun stuff

This is a good one that I saw on facebook earlier this week.

What I've been watching recently....
Still, binge-watching Supernatural. I'm on season 6 at the moment. It's such a good show but I keep finding new stuff to watch.

Around the Blogosphere
In the last week, an author has trademarked Cocky in attempt to keep authors from using it in titles. I'm thrilled to see the author community come together because if she can get away with doing this I can imagine others will too. I've never heard of the author before this whole incident but that's to it I've added a bunch of new authors to my list as well as one to my Do Not Read list. I don't support authors behaving badly.
Be sure to sign the petition to stop this from happening (here
Candace Reads has a great explanation of what's happening (here)

  5. You had me at foodie and crafting and then you added books. Your current read is on my TBR I'm enjoying her other series at the moment. I still want to get to Infinity Wars. I've been busy working the gluten-free recipes for my daughter's new foods which started this past week. I did sew a bunch of flannel pillowcases for her since they are her favorite a couple weeks ago. I'm knitting a slouch hat for her since she already stole the one I made to match my coat. She's more of a hat wearer than me anyway. I need to get back to a baby quilt I've been making. You have many interesting things on your blog and I'll have to come by and read more.
