Long before Nicolina Desmond manifested her powers as a wizard, she was a Normal girl with extraordinary circumstances. In order to prove herself and escape her father’s chokehold on her life, she’s determined to get on the fast track towards an independent life.

However, she never anticipated how meeting Richard Murphy would change her life…

Tales of the Winter Wolf follows the adventures of Nicole and Richard, predominant characters from Witch & Wolf #2, Winter Wolf. Spoilers for the novel are contained within!

Tales of the Winter Wolf is a series of short stories that tell the story of Nicolina and Richard two different people who find themselves connected. All her life Nicolina has grown up around the Fenerec known as werewolves both f her parents are one even though she and her twin sister are not. While her twin is all about finding a man Nicolina wants more out of life leaving home to attend college many years before she should have. After a whirlwind arrival home things just keep the chaos rolling as Nicolina and Richard find themselves on their way to his pack.

The Fenerec stop aging in the mid to late twenties so her parents still look so young for having teenage daughters. I like Nicolina a lot she’s a smart savvy untraditional girl who doesn’t conform to what her father has planned. While she may not be a shifter it doesn’t make her weak if anything it’s made her stronger. I like Richard he seems to understand her when her own parents don’t. I see big things for both of them I only wish that she was just a little older or he just a little younger.

Nicolina may be a normal in a world of werewolves but it doesn’t change that she’s kick ass when she needs to be and willing to do what it takes to protect those she loves even if she doesn’t know it yet. The potential hint of a love interest with her being a teenager to an older many made me a little unsure but he can wait for her which doesn’t bother me. The more we see of the characters the more I like them they just work together even if she doesn't see it yet.I like the world that they live in the author has created a unique twist of the classic werewolf shifters. I like the author's writing style its smooth flowing from start to finish it's easy to get lost in the story. I’ve enjoyed every page of the stories and now I'm ready to dive into the first book now they I have a little insight into them.

The Sunday post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer~ It's a chance to share new ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Happy Sunday Funday!

It has been so hot this week. Ranging from upper 90's to all way the way up to 108 I think this week was the highest. It's been crazy some mornings it's so hot by 10am. I love when it's hot because I can always cool off inside but when it's in the upper 90's it just to hot to even do stuff outside. So we've been hiding inside most of the week but yesterday it stayed in the lower 90's upper 80's so we went out and about.

Currently 81 of 250 and behind a lot. I'm hoping to catch up by the end of the summer.

I did use my sourdough to make a pizza crust and bread.

Not much to report but I should have a big red tomato this week. The intense days of heat kind of burnt a few of my plants so I had to move them. Hope that they will come back to life after some shade and love.

Book Blitz: Hart of Mine

Hart of Mine
Annie Arcane
(Cale & Mickey #4)
Publication date: June 25th 2017
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance

God, this woman drives me insane.
In all of the good, most of the bad, and some of the ugliest ways imaginable. But it doesn’t matter because she’s mine. My little sadist. My crazy girl. My beautiful wife.
And you don’t ever f*ck with what’s mine.
Warning: Strong language, mature content, drama, and angst included. Shirt sold separately.
This novella is an adult contemporary romance featuring a disabled hero who (still) happens to be a rich and sexy alpha male with a potty mouth.
Cale and Mickey: Book 4 of 4
Fate could be a bastard and fuck with me all day long, but I would never be caught off-guard again. I would leave nothing to chance.
Liabilities were mine.
Assets were hers.
It was simple.
There were no ifs, ands, or buts.
“Doesn’t matter what you want, Mickey. It’s yours regardless.”
“Seriously?” She was staring at me as if I’d sprouted horns and was in desperate need of an exorcism. “Can you even hear yourself?”
I didn’t bother answering. Of course, I could hear myself. I was making perfect sense.
She gave a loud sigh, “I hate it when you act like this.”
“Like what?” The pussy-whipped husband who spoils his wife rotten? The pathetic bastard who empties his bank account at her feet?
“Like this. Like a dumb idiot. Like a controlling jerk. Like…like…” Another sigh. Louder. Far more exasperated. “You. You’re acting like you.”
My fists clenched.
Great. Now I’m jealous of my hypothetical competition. Keeps on getting better and better.
“And who would you rather I act like?”
“Hmm, I don’t know,” she countered sweetly. “How about a reasonable human being?”
Oh, fuck, no.
“How the hell am I not reasonable? I do anything you ask me to. I do everything you ask me to. Even when it’s a blow to my ego, I swallow my damn pride and do whatever you want. For Christ’s sake, we just got married at a drive-thru because that’s what you wanted,” the reminder was bitter on my tongue. “You think that’s what I wanted? You think I spent months learning to stand on my own goddamn feet again because a fucking drive-thru wedding was my end goal?
“But you say jump, I say how high, right? So, by all means, let me know what else you need me to do, Mickey. Tell me how else to prove I trust you because I’ve literally given you every single thing in my possession and it still isn’t good enough. Because I’ve placed my entire life in your hands and…shit!”
It happened so fast.
The crazy girl tackled me.
I didn’t even see it coming. Which was fortunate since I probably would’ve broken something had I braced for impact. She tipped my chair over backward, knocking me right out of the damn seat. And landed hard on top of me, knocking the wind right out of my lungs.
As the room swirled, her panicked voice clawed through the fog, “Oh, my God, Cale. Are you okay?”
Crazy fucking girl.
I nodded, attempting to catch my breath while the fancy-ass ceiling tiles came into focus. Guess I must’ve cracked my skull on the floor too.
“I can’t believe that actually happened.”
A sixteen-pound titanium wheelchair with no brakes vs. a stunningly gorgeous human torpedo with no fear.
Physics 101.
What the fuck did she expect would happen?
“I was only trying to distract you.”
More like trying to kill me. Closing my arms around her, I managed a hoarse chuckle. It was more of a cough. I took a ragged breath and murmured, “You don’t have to try.”
She relaxed into my chest and whispered, “Sorry.”
“No harm done.” Minus the splitting headache.
“Are you sure you’re not hurt?”
“Yeah, except…”
Her head snapped up. “What?”
I curbed a smile, knowing full well this was going to cost me dearly. There was no doubt she’d make me pay for it later.
She scrambled to alleviate her weight, hovering inches above. “What?
Worth any punishment, “I can’t feel my legs.”
God, that laugh.
Who cares about the consequences?
I’d sell my soul to hear that laugh.

Author Bio:
Romance with wounded heroes, disabled characters, alpha males, and angst.
Annie doesn’t like long walks on the beach, getting dolled up, or HEA endings with a boringly perfect hero. She’d much rather be rock climbing, shooting guns, or ending on cliffhangers with a deliciously imperfect hero. And hugs. She likes hugs.
She also has a B.Sc. in Biology and feels kinda sorta weird referring to herself in 3rd person. Just saying.

Book Tour: Hidden Hearts

by Olivia Dade
Genre: Contemporary Romance

Pub Date: 6/20/17

An Admirer With A Secret . . .
Mary Higgs could be the poster girl for the buttoned-up librarian. She follows the rules. Stays ╩╝til closing. Her kindness and dedication to her patrons is legendary. But those patrons have no idea what she’s typing to the mysterious shut-in who emailed the library needing a library card three months ago . . .
When the elusive Miles O’Connor shows up, he’s no invalid. A year ago, he was the gleaming, ab-sational star of the small screen. Then came the accident. Now he’s a wounded recluse with a pizza habit and fears so unshakable that only the thought of losing Mary to an online date could lure him out of his cabin.
Soon their email rapport has turned into weekends on the couch, watching tearjerkers and driving each other insane with red-hot makeout sessions. But as the desire grows and their horizons expand, the life that brought them together might not be enough for either of them . . .

Olivia Dade grew up an undeniable—and proud—nerd, prone to ignoring the world around her as she read any book she could find. Her favorite stories, though, were always romances. As an adult, she earned an M.A. in American history and worked in a variety of jobs that required her to hide her bawdy interior under a demure exterior: Colonial Williamsburg interpreter, high school teacher, academic tutor, and (of course) librarian. Finally, though, she realized the call of the hussy could no longer be denied. So now she writes contemporary romantic comedy with plenty of sex, banter, and nerdery. When not writing, she cooks alongside her husband, dabbles in photography, and tries to hide her collection of throbbing-intensive romances from her curious daughter. Visit her on the web at
