I met my soulmate on July 17th, 2017. He wasn’t my typical type, but the way his ice blue eyes cut through me and his deep honeyed voice warmed me back up made him something new entirely; they were two of the million little things that seemed to make him mine.

Except…I met my fiancĂ© December 22nd, 2012.

I didn’t plan for any of this to happen. Not to meet James Larrabee or to fall in love. Not to hurt the people closest to me. And definitely, definitely not to write the letters that would be both my salvation and my damnation.

I’ve been called a robot. Made of stone. Heartless. But that’s because no one ever saw what was underneath. Not until Mina McLennan saw right through me.

We made so many mistakes, left each other with scars so deep and wreckage in our wake but I couldn’t help but find her, fight for her. I mean, I fell in love with the way she loved me. And so deeply, so full of a furiously beating heart that I asked her to marry me.

Turns out, that was the easy part.

Ace Gray is a best selling author, self-proclaimed troublemaker and connoisseur of both the good life and fairy tales. After a life-long love affair with both  books, she undertook writing the novel she wanted to read. Joey

I wouldn’t say I ran away exactly—twenty-two is too old for that.

I’d call it self-preservation.

I have one objective: protect my heart from the boy next door who has no clue I’ve loved him my whole life, even with a front row seat to his revolving bedroom door.

My escape plan almost worked.

Except I left one thing behind.

Logan Carter hijacked my heart, and now it’s time to get it back. This time for good.

Logan

I wouldn’t say I’ve been lying this whole time—not about everything.

Not about how much I miss my best friend, and definitely not about how pissed I am that she left with hardly a goodbye.

She’s the last person I ever expected to ghost me, and her absence left a gaping hole in my chest.

When Joey Grayson steps off that bus, I know I’ll do anything to keep her home, and that means finding out the truth.

But I’m not sure how to tell her my truths when I’m living so many lies.

The Sunday Post

The Sunday Post
Hosted by:

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer~ It's a chance to share new ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Happy New Year
I can't believe it's already 2020. 2019 just flew and we are already almost a week into the new year. I've been in a little blogging and reading slump over last year. I hit a funk and just struggled to pull myself out of the funk. However, now that the new year is upon us and life has settled down after the crazy holidays I'm ready to dive back into blogging and reading books that I want to read.

My teenager is almost done with Navy boot camp and will be headed off to his first duty station at the end of the month. I'm so proud of him, and excited for him to take on this new adventure. My little one still doesn't love books but I'm determined that this year she will find a love of some form of reading material. I can't even get her to read my comic books yet.

I've made a bunch of goals for 2020 as I didn't hit any last year. I also have a bunch of fun challenges I hope to do over the year as well as lots of new content on the agenda.

Goals
Read 250 books but I'm hoping to exceed that. I'm already 2 in and almost done with a third. I just need to write reviews.

Post on Instagram which I've been slacking on but hope to be better at.

I want to blog every morning and write new discussion posts. I've got so many posts I want to share but I get a little shy and they never end up on the blog. I hope to change that this year.

I want to read more books outside of my comfort zone. I tend to be a creature of habit and go with what I like. However, I did give Reverse Harems a try and found out I love them and they have quickly become one of my favorites.

I want to be more active and visit more blogs commenting more. I want to find more blogging bookish friends this year. I want to do buddy reads more, and have more book discussions.

    Book Blogger Hop

    This week's Question:

    Answer:

Yes, I do have a bunch, but I may have gone a little crazy with my goals.

    1. Rediscover my love for blogging. I hit a huge slump last year and it ended up feeling more like a chore.

    2. New content making it to my blog. I have notebooks full of fun stuff new content discussion posts I want to write but I never do. I want to start actually sharing it.

    3. Write more reviews. This slump got into a reading slump so that wasn't helping me.

    4. I want to write 5 discussion unique posts each month. I have maybe zillion ideas so this should be easy if only I can write the posts lol.

    5. More foodie recipes. I love to bake and cook so I feel like this would be a great place to share them.

    6. Blog daily. Every day even if it's a quick post with an Instagram picture. Which is another area I need to work on.

    7. More unique original content. More challenges! More fun!

    8. Read and review at least 250 books this year!

    What about you?

With a hit song sitting at number one on the country music charts, Gavin McNeer thought he finally had everything he ever wanted.
All it takes is one look from the mesmerizing woman sitting in the front row at one of his shows and a brief encounter to make him realize just what he’s been missing. Even though he’s been burnt in the past, Gavin puts his inhibitions aside and his heart on the line to earn the trust of the woman who could be his everything.

Working in an industry where relationships start and end in the blink of an eye, Alyson Dawson has made it her mission not to get mixed up with musicians, no matter how good-looking they are. That is until she meets Gavin, a man who changes everything with one smoldering look.

    Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases we're eagerly anticipating. In my case not so patiently waiting for the new releases, which I lack.

I can't wait to get my hands on this one. It's one of my auto-buy authors.
    My Choice this week is

    Title -
    Very Bad Wizards

    by - C.M Stunich
    Expected Publication - February 1st 2020
    Add to (Goodreads)

My little dog, Toto, just shifted into a man. A gorgeous, chiseled beast of a man. That was about thirty seconds before the storm hit and he clutched me against his naked body while wild winds raged all around us.

Yeah, we're seriously not in fucking Kansas anymore.
There are male witches with toothy smiles, a man with a tin arm, and some wizards. Some very, very bad wizards--and they're all interested in me. Romantically. How ... interesting.

Oh, and then there's Dorothy, the girl who's claiming that she's the good guy, and I'm the bad one, all because the power to control storms sleeps in my fingertips.

My name is Ozora, Oz for short, and I'm a girl from nowhere, destined for somewhere.

VERY BAD WIZARDS (Book 1 of 3 in the "Wicked Wizards of Oz" series) -- is a full-length reverse harem/new adult/fantasy romance novel, a gritty retelling of "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz". Don't expect a children's tale; these characters are nothing like their more innocent counterparts. This book contains: drugs, cursing, violence, sex ... and love found in the darkest shadows.
    What are you waiting on?
