The Sunday Post
Hosted by:

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer~ It's a chance to share new ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Happy New Year
I can't believe it's already 2020. 2019 just flew and we are already almost a week into the new year. I've been in a little blogging and reading slump over last year. I hit a funk and just struggled to pull myself out of the funk. However, now that the new year is upon us and life has settled down after the crazy holidays I'm ready to dive back into blogging and reading books that I want to read.

My teenager is almost done with Navy boot camp and will be headed off to his first duty station at the end of the month. I'm so proud of him, and excited for him to take on this new adventure. My little one still doesn't love books but I'm determined that this year she will find a love of some form of reading material. I can't even get her to read my comic books yet.

I've made a bunch of goals for 2020 as I didn't hit any last year. I also have a bunch of fun challenges I hope to do over the year as well as lots of new content on the agenda.

Goals
Read 250 books but I'm hoping to exceed that. I'm already 2 in and almost done with a third. I just need to write reviews.

Post on Instagram which I've been slacking on but hope to be better at.

I want to blog every morning and write new discussion posts. I've got so many posts I want to share but I get a little shy and they never end up on the blog. I hope to change that this year.

I want to read more books outside of my comfort zone. I tend to be a creature of habit and go with what I like. However, I did give Reverse Harems a try and found out I love them and they have quickly become one of my favorites.

I want to be more active and visit more blogs commenting more. I want to find more blogging bookish friends this year. I want to do buddy reads more, and have more book discussions.

I have a whole list of stuff I want to bake but I'm getting over a wicked head cold so it will have to wait a bit. I have started a new crochet project but it's slow going I'm curious to see how it will turn out.

    1. Welcome back, I was also in a weird slump last year and am feeling like a better blogger/reader. I love your goals! I want to also read more outside my comfort zone.
Congrats to your son! My little one also isn't a big reader but I am trying. :)

    2. I hope you do well with all your goals this year. I tried a new recipe for mini cheesecakes which was a big hit on Christmas Eve. I've already made it again. I am choosing some different challenges this year and would love to see your discussion posts. I hope to do a few more myself.

Happy New Year and enjoy some great reads!

    4. Oh, I want my kids to love reading as much as I do too :) My 12-year-old is getting there, and I'm hoping my eight-year-old being obsessed with his Dogman books is a good sign. Happy New Year!
