 Happy Monday!!! I'm a little behind this week. 
I ended up not writing a post last couple of weeks. A little bit of book and blogging burnout has taken over but I seem to be finding my groove again. To much real life getting in the way of reading and when I do sit down to blog or read it never lasted long enough. I'm ready for school to start again so I can have my quiet mornings free. 

 It's been a whirlwind couple of weeks. I don't like to toot my own horn but I won a base wide award for key spouse of the quarter. I love the program our main focus is to support the spouse while their spouse is gone. Everything always goes wrong when they are gone. In our squadron, they are flying all over the world all the time, and it's so important for everyone to have a strong support system. I do it because I love being able to help because I remember not having that spouse checking in on me when I was new. 

 The kids have a few more weeks of summer break but I'm already ready for school to start and I honestly think they are ready to start again. My oldest who is 16 has his first job at Domino's Pizza which we are very excited for. He's growing up so fast. 

 It's become really clear that spending time at home this summer is taking a toll on the dogs. At first I thought it was my huskmute acting out because I was gone so much. Come to find out after my rubber kindle cover was destroyed that the hound was having severe anxiety about me leaving. Thankfully I've been making sure they both are getting extra treats and love so hopefully, this will help this week. 

 On the reading aspect of life, it's become so behind. Last summer I was able to read all the time but with extra stuff going on finding time has been almost impossible which is so sad because I love reading. Currently, my goal for the year is awful according to Goodreads I'm behind so many. I'm at 86 behind 62. To be fair I have several reviews to write that I just haven't gotten to yet. Hopefully this week. 

 Read this past week 
I only had a chance to finish one but this is the last week of kids school free so I'm hopeful that will change. Everyone is in prep mode for school so lots of time around the house. 
I really enjoyed Dirty Royal by Amelia Wilde - This was my first book by the author but I'm hooked. Need to write my review but I really enjoyed it.
