Foodie Friday #10
I've been wanting to do this for a while but have been putting it off. Aside from books I love cooking it's a great outlet for me. Instagram has been a fun outlet to share my book pictures but I've been adding more and more food pictures. I thought I could use my blog to share a new recipe each week which will also cause me to try new things. So we will give it a go and see how it goes. I hope it's as interesting to me as it is to you. I follow a lot of food bloggers so I have the whole list of fun ones I want to try.
For our weekly game night it was my turn to make dessert.
Recipe
I picked out a recipe and let my husband customize it.
Original Recipe (Here)
Changes
Instead of 2 layers, I did 3 layers of crackers.
I also doubled the caramel recipe making one at a time.
In the middle after the caramel before the final layer of crackers, we also spread a layer of peanut butter on the caramel. Which we topped with crackers and the 2nd batch of caramel. I topped it with white chocolate and toffee pieces.
Overall Thoughts
It turned out better than I expected it would. A perfect blend of salty and sweet. It was a hit, everyone loved it and it's been brought into question it might be the best dessert I've made for game-night. This one is going into the make again.
I am always looking for new recipes to try so if you have a suggestion I'd love to check it out.
