Synopsis
"Even the very first time I saw you, I had the feeling that you wouldn’t be good for me."

Not even Emma’s worst nightmares could have prepared her for the dramatic change that takes place in her life. After the sudden death of her mother, she has no choice but to go and live with her Uncle and his family on the sleepy town of Portree on the Scottish Isle of Skye.
The last thing she expects is to fall in love there. From the very first moment she meets Calum, his mysterious aura captivates her. He casts a spell on her, and even his seeming disinterest does little to change this. His contradictory behaviour only adds to his allure. But before long this fassade begins to crumble, and eventually even he gives in to his feelings.
When he reveals his true identity to her one day, she flees from him. But it’s too late, for she has already fallen head over heels...

A fantastical, mythical book for all fans of Twilight and Co -- without vampires and werewolves, but with many other fascinating creatures that anyone would love to encounter. Immerse yourself in the story of Emma and Calum.

"I think so. And if necessary you can always carry me back." I Replied teasingly
"I'd love to."
I blushed and looked away in embarrassment.

Review
I received Silver Moon Light in return for an honest review from the author. Emma has always been warned away from the water and is surprised when her mother dies in a car accident in the water. Her only family is across the ocean in Scotland to a family she knows nothing about. After a long flight she arrives at her new home to live with her mother’s brother, his wife and their children everyone is very inviting. Emma instantly is drawn to a stranger she meets while saving whales that have been beached on the shores of the island where she will live. While neither can deny the attraction for each other it’s clear that Calum doesn't want to get involved she won’t be good for him.

Keeping apart doesn’t last long and when their relationship comes out both her uncle and his guardian attempt to separate the two. Calum has a secret that makes him different from Emma and in attempt to keep it from her decides that if they are to be together she needs to know. When he reveals his secret Emma learns that all the stories her mom used to tell her are true. Can their love survive being from two different worlds? What happens when Calum has to return to his world? What if his people find out that Emma knows?

I liked Emma right from the start having lost my mom to a car wreck as a teen I was able to really connect with her. I can’t imagine going through it alone at least she had her uncle’s family who was thrilled to take her in and help her with everything. I really liked that Emma is very bookish granted it’s more of the classics but I love them if anything she made me want to go back and read them all over again. I wasn’t sure about Calum at first because clearly he was torn and battling his own issues but as the book progressed I started to see him as perfect for Emma in the end I was cheering on my star crossed couple.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from Silver Moon Light at first I assumed it would be very twilight like but the author surprises me in the best way with a Romeo and Juliet story. Well at least that’s the way I interpreted it and I enjoyed every minute of it. The author has taken a lore concept that I knew almost nothing about nor have ever heard of before and created an intricately woven story. The story-line flows smoothly it doesn't feel rushed however we are left with a cliffhanger that makes you want more. It was refreshing to read a story about a paranormal being I knew nothing about plus toss in a little Nessie teaser and I’m hooked. The characters are easy for the reader to connect with you can’t help loving Emma she’s so sweet and follows her heart even if it leads her into danger. Silver Moon Light is a uniquely written well executed story that captures the heart as well as the imagination. I honestly enjoyed every moment of reading the book staying up super late just to see how it would all play out. The perfect start to an exciting new series, that teens as well as adults will enjoy.
