The Sunday Post
Hosted by:

The Sunday post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer~ It's a chance to share new ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Happy Sunday Funday!
Gosh, this year is flying by it seems it's almost Halloween and soon it will be Thanksgiving. The weather has been a little odd some days it's cool enough to leave the windows open others we still have to turn the AC on. I'm hoping we have a few more weeks of warm weather so that the Trick or Treaters won't be freezing while going door to door. Of course, I live in Northern California where 50's is freezing for us. I keep hoping we will get a lot of rain but it's not looking like an option.
We did have a fire last week right off base it was so windy the smoke looked amazing. Thankfully nothing was burned except for a field. I've never seen smoke look like a fluffy cloud before. I was the passenger in the car, by the way, I'm anti-phone while driving.

While on our nightly walk we caught the rocket launch this past week as well it was super beautiful and amazing. At first, we had no idea because out of nowhere this appeared in the sky. Secretly I was hoping maybe we would be getting a visit from aliens..... as I do have a few series I love with aliens. Not this time maybe next time.

I finally was able to enjoy reading again this week it's been a rough few months. I keep trying but haven't had much luck recently. I'm almost done maybe 30 minutes with my current book. I couldn't keep my eyes open last night or I would have finished it at 2am. I'm currently almost finished with Wolf Tamer which I picked based on its stunning cover. It's a reverse harem which is one of my favorite themes plus shifters. The author is new to me but she has a bunch of books on my TBR list that I want to check out. So far I'm enjoying her writing style so I have an idea what's next.

What you may have missed the past week
Newly Added

Crafty projects & Baking/cooking & Gardening
I haven't done much of any of these the last few weeks. I do have a new recipe I'm going to try to tonight and if it turns out amazing for dinner I'll be sure to share.

I made my good friend for her Birthday a Lemon meringue cheesecake. Which turned out amazing. This very well could be my new go-to way to do lemon cheesecakes. The meringue was my first ever it was cooked so just needed a quick toasting in the oven.
I'm working on a unicorn hooded crochet hat so maybe next week I'll have that to share.

Quote/ fun stuff
I follow Barefoot Five on Facebook and love these. This one is me exactly.

What I've been watching recently..
I've been watching all kinds of movies recently. I just watched Jaws which is still one of my all-time favorite shark movies.

Gaming
Are there book bloggers that play xbox games?
I very much enjoy playing xbox with the guys. I could use some blogger friends to game with. It would be amazing to play xbox with some bookish friends.
Currently I'm playing Overwatch but open to other games. My gamer Tag is TartBarbie I do have Destiny 2 and the new call of duty but I'm terrible at it.

  1. That Cheesecake looks delicious! And great photos. The rocket looks almost unreal! Lots of great books again. I always find a few here that I want to check out. It's a little like fall here. No humidity and 80s instead of 90s. I'll take it while it lasts:)

  2. Yum with the cheesecake, my mom and daughter would love that. I am not a big lemon fan. :)
I had a hard time reading the first half of the year. I am doing a little better now. The RH is fantastic and also a favorite of mine. I can't wait for Allison's Adventures in Underland to be complete so I can binge the series. :)

I hope you have a great week, Mandy! Happy Reading!

  3. I'm glad you're enjoying reading and have some craft projects going. I enjoy my reading but haven't managed to do anything with craft projects lately.

The weather has turned cooler now. I like it, especially for sleeping.
