2nd installment in a brand new Urban Fantasy series.

Review
Tangled Web starts off not long after the end of Sweet Venom. The hellhounds who once tortured Cassis are now wanting her to bond with them so that they can continue living as she is the new Night Queen. Less than thrilled about the idea but unwilling to let them just fade away she knows she has to do what's right. However, the oracle has another plan that is going to change everything that that Cassis knew and set her down a path to change everything.

I like Cassis she's unique when it comes to a heroine who just happened to more than just half a spider venin but also fae and now hellhound. I admit she already has her close circle of friends, broody alpha werewolf, so juggling four needy hellhounds is going to be interesting. I really want her to make it work with Jack and I'm rooting for him even if he's got issues his wolf has already claimed her.

I had to read Tangled Web the moment it landed on my kindle because I was curious to see what as going to happen to Cassis. I love the unique main character she's a black widow venin but now also a hellhound. I admit that I would love to see what these hellhounds look like as I can only imagine and hope the next one has even just a shadow on the cover. I love that this book ties up a few of the questions from the first book and now I have all new questions. The author has done a beautiful job creating a complex story that captures the heart as well as the imagination. My only complaint is I need more and I wish the books had over 300 pages. I can't wait for the next one to see how Cassis pulls off her new role and handles being a hellhound.
