The Sunday Post

The Sunday Post
Hosted by:

The Sunday post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer~ It's a chance to share new ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

It's Sunday Funday

First of the weather has been super funky. Some days it's so hot I have to put the AC on and other days it's so cold I'm huddled under a blanket. I wish it would rain a few more times but it's teasing. It's been a busy week lots of real life going on. My dear friend's husbands came home from deployment this week which is always a happy time. The kids are in school so the house has been quiet which is always my favorite time because when they aren't it's always a little bit of chaos. I've been getting out of my reading funk the last few weeks and after the Dewey read-a-thon, I think I'm ready to get back into my groove. Of course, lots of binge-watching, crafty, baking gaming and reading over the week. All in all, it was very productive I got a lot of much-needed stuff done.

 What I read this week
A lot this week total of 26 granted some were comics and manga.
I read 21 of the Harley Quinn comics by Amanda Conner & Alex Sinclair
The Inheritance by Mika Lane

What you may have missed the past week
  • Newly added
I just picked up a couple of ebooks this week.
Charm by J.A. Armitage
Stardust by Alyssa Rose Ivy
Ash Princess by Laura Sebastian

Crafty projects & Baking/cooking & Gardening
I've started my sourdough starter yet again this week. It's been a long break and now I'm ready to get back into baking. Plus I miss having yummy fresh bread around the house. I did make some fresh rhubarb jam this week it's in the fridge as it won't last very long. I also baked a zucchini bread in a bundt pan. It turned out great. I want to try a savory one next.
I wasn't nearly as craft this past week as I would have hoped. This week I'm going to finish this baby blanket for my best friend and get a gift package in the mail.

Quote/ fun stuff
This may be my favorite quote but it describes me perfectly and I just love it.

What I've been watching recently....
I binge watched the Fifty Shades of Grey trio this week. I didn't love the books but I enjoyed the movies. I think in part that I'm such a huge fan of broken people getting a happy ever after.

I've been listening to punk-pop cover song's this week. Youtube has some great playlists that I've enjoyed.

Around the Blogosphere
We just had Dewey's 24 hours read-a-thon this weekend. So I've been super focused on that.
Next week I'll have some fun stuff to share.

Need to catch up on reviews this week.

  1. I love zucchini bread! Yours looks yummy. It's weird that many people are getting such odd weather. We are definitely feeling spring like here. Won't last long and then it will just be steamy hot! LOL
