The Sunday Post
Hosted by:

The Sunday post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer~ It's a chance to share new ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Happy Sunday Funday!

The weather is starting to cool off, at last, it's still nice during the day but cool during the night. It's slowly getting to the point I won't have to use the AC much anymore. I love having the windows open every day and the fresh breeze blowing in. One of my favorite things about California is how nice the weather is and even in the winter, we don't get snow so no complaints here.

It's been a busy week the little one had a sleepover this weekend so we had a nice quiet morning yesterday. Of course, she's up early on the weekends so this am she was up at the crack of dawn but during the week it's a struggle to get her up. The teenager I'm still dragging him out of bed every morning for school and even on the weekend. I can't see wasting the day sleeping till one or two but I'm super productive during the am.

It's been a quiet week around the house, which is always nice. I need to do some organizing and winter decluttering this week. I had a bookshelf break so I need to pick up a new one but in the meantime, it means I'm going to have a bunch of piles of books around the bedroom. I'm kind of tempted to organize them and put them in plastic totes to keep them safe. As we are military we always have the chance to move and it would make this so much easier if they were safe and sorted.

What you may have missed the past week

Crafty projects & Baking/cooking & Gardening
Still working on my hood it's slow going as I do it while I binge watch tv and I haven't had much time to binge as I would like this week. I'm hoping this week to finish the hood so I can start on a new one. I also baked some banana bread this week. It turned out yummy as always one of my families favorite treats.

Quote/ fun stuff
I thought this was a great one.

What I've been watching recently..

I started binge watching Chilling Adventures of Sabrina on Netflix this weekend. It's kind of amazing I'm almost done. I need to read the comic but I have them on my tablet maybe after I finish watching the current season.

I found a 2018 Hallmark Christmas Movie list. I'm going to watch them all in addition to the others on my watch every year list. I think it's a great challenge idea as well.

Gaming
I've been gaming with the guys. A little Destiny 2, Overwatch and Ark. I even popped baby giga's with a buddy this past week. I have Red Dead Redemption 2 but I haven't tried it yet but I need to. I also picked up Friday the 13th for $6.00 dollars on Xbox. We grouped up over the weekend each having a chance at being Jason. Of course, the guys survived my Jason as I lack the skills but it was fun. I'm the kind of gamer who has to have someone else to play with or I tend to just stand around doing nothing.

  1. So, I still need to read my ARC of the Elizabeth Frankenstein book. I have been waiting, but haven't fit it in yet! I heard something on Twitter about the Sabrina show that it is probably going to have some protesting about I would guess for a black girl/woman being hung. So now I'm not sure if I want to try it or not. Anyway, that bread looks yummy, what kind was it?

  2. It sounds like a nice week. I'm enjoying the cooler weather 60s with getting even to 30s at night. Except for shoes. Other people hate pants - I hate shoes. But when my feet get cold I'll have to wear them more outside the house. I'm stressed out by how many hours I'm scheduled to work this week but soon I'll have more time. Enjoy all those books. And snacks! Anne - Books of My Heart
