The Sunday Post

The Sunday Post
Hosted by:

The Sunday post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer~ It's a chance to share new ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

It's Sunday Funday

The weather has been stunning this week beautiful 70's weather even up to 78 this week. It does make me a little nervous lacking in cold weather means we haven't been getting much rain. I admit that I'm a little nervous if it doesn't cool off and rain that we will be starting a very hot summer. We've even run the AC over the last week several times. I'm hoping that the weather stays in the upper 60's to mid 70's but we get a bunch of rain. As I am in California we need the rain to avoid a drought this summer. Fingers crossed.

It's been a busy week and I fell like this up coming week will be equally busy but a busy week makes the time pass quickly. I'm working on getting ahead when it comes to blogging. One of my 2018 goals is to blog more ahead and it's something I'm working on but getting better. I had a nice coffee morning with one of my friends. Added some rows on my current blanket project.

I watched the first two Fifty Shades and Friday night we had a girls night to the theater to see the third one Fifty Shades Freed. I didn't love the first book and when a few friends talked me into watching the first movie I became a quick fan. I've always been a big fan of broken characters finding a happy ever after. I loved the final installment in the series. I can't wait to add it to my collection.

Only one this week but I enjoyed it

I made some yummy brownies with cookie topping. I cut them up and stuck the ones that didn't get eaten in the freezer so we can pull them out and toss them in the microwave with a little icecream.

  1. I am hoping for a little warm up as we seem to be getting some rain, thankfully it's not cold to make that rain snow otherwise it would have been a major snow. I hope you guys have some rain soon!

Sometimes I love busy weeks and sometimes I like quiet ones. The last few weeks has been crazy busy so I am hoping for a slow down! :) I am also going to get more ahead next weekend, I hope, on the blog. I was doing pretty good but am way behind now.

Have a great week, Mandy! Happy Reading! :)

  3. Brookies are probably the best thing every created. I agree with the rain. Last year we got hit with a ton and this year it's always hot and sunny. Although, we are looking to get rain this week. I can't wait!
