Opening Line
I had been desperately waiting for my mate to show up, hoping against all hope that he could save me from the darkness that had surrounded me constantly since my dad's death.

Review
Marley has been struggling with depression since her father passed away suddenly, leaving her in charge of the pack. At least Marley isn't along she has her shifter friends but it seems they are all busy with their own lives and she doesn't want to bother them. As she struggles alone with her own depression thinking that she isn't going to make it her Mate shows up in the nick of time.

Beau didn't expect to be taking over as alpha of the grizzly pack but if it means he get's to stay with Marley he is willing to do his best. Marley needs him to help her deal with her depression, helping her learn to live again. The more time they spend together, the darkness starts to fade as Marley deals with losing her father. Will Beau be just what Marley needs or is it too late?

I like Marley she's dealing with a very real issue that lots of people have, and while heartbreaking to watch her go through the darkness at least she has a silver lining. Beau complements her in may ways he's just what she needed when she was on the bottom and helped bring her back. I like that they are super nerdy playing old video games.

I've been working my way through the shifty girls series and curious to read Marley's story as we've heard about her in prior books. I love the concept for the shifty girls each book is a shifter finding her happy ever after but prior characters are still woven into each story. I find it refreshing that they are clean romance, so perfect for all ages of readers. This one was hard to put down as I had to know it was going to be ok for Marley and finished it in one sitting. The author has done another great job creating a captivating story that captured my heart as well as my imagination. Can't wait to read the next one.
