Tell Me Something Tuesday

This weeks topic is:

Do you Enjoy Anthologies?

The short answer is Yes! I love the idea of anthologies but I never seem to read them. I have a 1 click addiction on Amazon to grabbing all the limited edition anthologies but I never seem to get around to reading them. One of my goals this year was to start working on them but I haven't been doing as much reading as I would like. I really need to change that. I have maybe a dozen anthologies coming up in the future that I've already pre-ordered. I admit give me a beautiful cover and advertise it as a limited edition and I'm sold. I can't pass it up.

These are a few I hope to read in the next few months.

Hexes and Handcuffs (Currently a freebie too)

Red Riding Hood (Currently on my kindle)

Academy of Magic (Currently on my kindle)

Bound to Change (I can't wait for it to come out)

How do you feel about Anthologies?

What are you thankful for this year?

Answer:

I have a lot to be thankful for this year
My husband who is my rock
My kids who keep things interesting
My family who I would be lost without
Friends who those close and far away who are more than just friends, they are family
My dogs who keep me on my toes.
Baking which has been an adventure
Sewing which has been a great outlet
Cross-stitching which I never do enough but enjoy
Crochet allows me to create amazing projects
I would be lost without books they are my happy place.
Coffee can't start the day without a big hot cup.
Crafty projects while I may not finish them all I'm thankful to have started them.
Blogging it's been an important outlet in my life. I don't know what I would do without it.
I am thankful for all of you. Without your kind words, my blog wouldn't be possible.

This weeks question
Picks for Fall 2017

Answer:

This is such an awesome question because I've been working on my fall reading list. I have so many that I want to read from summer that I didn't find the time for. I've got a huge list planned for this fall. My goal is to get caught up on my challenge.

1. Paper Princess by Erin Watt - I've had this one on my kindle since it came out but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I've been hearing so much good stuff about it and know I need to read it.

2. Blood Kissed by Keri Arthur - I've enjoyed her other books and looking forward to diving into her newest series.

3.  Dark Violet Shadow by C.M. Stunich - It was supposed to be out and I hope it will be out soon. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book in the Zara Wolf series.

I picked 3 books on my can't wait to read list. My list is long but I think this is a great starting spot.

This weeks question
Blog commenting. Why do you comment on other blog?

Answer:
I don't comment as much as I should. I like to comment when I read something I like or enjoy. This is one of my goals for 2015 to get better. I'm a terrible creeper who will visit every blog that I follow but I'm notorious to just commenting on a few. I plan to do better this year.

I am currently reading
A Tale of Red Riding Hood: Rise Of The Werewolf Huntress
by Neo Edmund
I'm only about 20% in but I am planning on trying to finish it tonight while the hubby plays a little call of duty or baseball.
I picked this one up as a kindle freebie a long while ago and when I showed the hubby my kindle with all the pretty color covers he picked this one out.

Up next
Escapement by Ciara Knight
I received this one for review but I've started it a couple of times but not been in the right mindset and didn't think that was fair for a review.

This weeks question
What are some things that annoy you in books?

Answer:
I typically can find the good in almost all books. I don't mind love triangles but i prefer to avoid them because someone always ends up getting hurt and I don't like my characters in books to get hurt.

I also hate cliffhangers purely for the fact that I have to wait forever for the next one to come out. However this one is one I'm sure everyone can agree with who enjoys waiting for the next book.

I don't care for main characters who are prissy and can't take care of themselves. Those that shut down when something happens. I don't read them very often. I mean I like when a guy takes care of the girl and protects her chivalry isn't dead in my mind but i hate weak minded characters annoy me.

Tell Me Something Tuesday!

Tell Me Something Tuesday

I've been wanting to start this one for a while. The questions are great discussion topics.

This weeks question is: Audiobooks: Do you listen to them? Why or why not?

Answer: Yes and No......haha no but seriously I don't listen to audio books but my kindle keyboard and kindle fire HDX both have a text to speech computer voice that will read most books. I don't listen to them often unless I'm crafting and the house is quiet. It's easy for me to get distracted of stop listening which is why I don't listen to them often. If I worked and had to leave the house and drive I could see myself listening to them a whole lot more. Currently it's been over six months since my kindles last read a book to me. I love to hold either the kid and book in my hand and typically I read faster than the text to speech voice.
Now when the munchkin starts school this fall it's possible I will have more time for crafting and with all the quiet time I'll be able to listen to audio books.

Are you a audio book fan?

This weeks question: What are your winter picks for 2015

I know this week is tough for some getting back in the blogging/reading groove. However I've been anxiously waiting for the holidays to end so things would relax around here so I could get back into the blogging/reading groove. This is my first time doing this weekly but I have wanted to for a long time but just decided to wait till the new year to start fresh.

I have a huge list of winter picks that I want to read. Some I already have on my kindle while others I'm impatiently waiting on.

This trio I have advanced copies that I'm hoping to start in the next few weeks.

They are all YA Debut novels but they sound really good nothing like getting a jump on my Debut Challenge.

A few I'm impatiently waiting on.
These three I can't wait to read.

What's on your winter picks list?

This weeks question:
Do you read New York Times Bestsellers?

Answer:
I am all over the place when it comes to books. I don't pick my next book based on if it's a best seller or not. I pick most of my books based on covers and synopsis so it may be a best seller or a new author with 2 reviews. I've found a lot of authors that I love on and off the best seller list.
