My Review

I pre-ordered this one because that cover is stunning! It looks beautiful on my shelf where it's sat since it arrived. I actually listened to the audiobook because how could I not with the narrator choices. When it comes to Corvin King I always have to slow down his books because his accents are just so perfect and I devoured this one in about 5 hours it was impossible to put down.

I loved Lila she's such a great character and her story is just so heartbreaking I'm glad she had a Bad Bishop to save her from it. It's a dark mafia romance so of course Tiernan isn't a good guy but who doesn't love a morally grey mmc. He's swoonworthy you can't help adding him to your book boyfriend list. I loved that he saw Lila for who she really was not what she pretended to be. I love the relationship between them it's sweet and so beautifully done.

This is not my first book by the author and won't be my last either as I've loved every book of hers. This one might just be my favorite as it hooked me right from the start till the very end and gave me all the feels. This will be a re-read for sure, I feel like even though it's dark it's a must for any romance fan. Do read the triggers but I highly recommend!!! Top tier dark romance for sure. Even his sister stole a place in my heart I can't wait to read her story next.

Synopsis

ALCHEMISED meets THE HANDMAID'S TALE in this star-crossed dystopian romance by the author of LOVE SICK, Deidra Duncan.

In the ruins of a nation, two enemies risk everything for a chance at justice... and each other.

After the Fracture, nothing is safe—not love, not truth, and certainly not women. In the ashes of the fallen United States, the New American Order has seized power, silencing dissent and enslaving the vulnerable. To stop the spread of their evil, Sophia Reeves has given everything to the Defiance, a resistance force battling the NAO, but now, her general has another command: become a contact for an enemy officer-turned-spy. She understands the sacrifice this order requires. Association with a Blood Colonel is a death sentence—especially for a woman.

He's just a name at first. A whisper in the dark. But week by week, Lucas Scott becomes something more—dangerously unreadable, brutally efficient, and far too human for a man embedded in a regime that breaks people like her. Sophia expects cruelty. She prepares for betrayal. What she finds is a man haunted by secrets, driven by grief, and willing to burn the whole world down for a hope he's barely clinging to.

Their alliance is a fragile one, forged in shadow and drenched in danger. But as the Defiance grows closer to victory, their missions become deadlier, and the line between duty and desire blurs. Beneath the shadow of escalating war, Sophia and Lucas must decide what they're willing to sacrifice for a cause that might already be lost—and for a love they were never meant to find.

Hauntingly raw and achingly romantic, UNTIL I DIE is a story of rebellion, redemption, and the unbreakable will to love in a world that has forgotten how.

My Review

I Received Until I Die in return for an honest review from the author

First off it's been a long time since I've read a dystopian novel much less one that pulled at my heartstrings as much as this one did. I adore Sophia because in her position I wouldn't have survived much less as long as she has in war torn world. Lucas was perfect he was everything I wanted as a enemy officer who's changed alliances. They find what they needed in each other as they are stuck in a world of war.

I devoured this one in just one day it was impossible to put down I was drawn into Sophia's and Lucas story right from the start. I forgot how much I love a dark gritty dystopian novel because this one reignited my love for them and I might be a tad obsessed with Until I die. The characters are easy to connect with and the story is stunningly done.

This is my first book by the author but I'm addicted and need more. The author has done a beautiful job creating a captivating story that keeps the reader hooked till the very tend. I'm living the book hangover life after this one. It's a dark emotional romance that stole a place in my heart. This book had me in all the feels and even made me cry but totally worth it. I loved it and it's a book I had no idea I needed.

Synopsis

I’ve always wanted to be a fashion designer, and my dream came true. I moved from my small town to NYC, then to Milan, Rome, and Paris.

I’m totally on fire, but there is one thing: I’m alone.

Alone until grumpy, commanding Troy Remington saves me. Firstly, from the crazy super yacht party in the South of France. Secondly, from being kidnapped after said party, and thirdly, from being a lone, burnt-out workaholic for the rest of my life.

After spectacular dates and weekend getaways, from Lake Como in Italy to the Remington family vineyard in Napa Valley and to a private island in Greece, I quit working for the top fashion label in Europe.

I return to NYC and move into the movie mogul and CEO’s ocean-side Hampton mansion. That’s when things go from perfect to complicated.

As the Remington family’s movie studio comes under attack, my NYC fashion label blossoms.

It becomes impossible to focus on giving the world all I have in fashion. I am distracted...

Distracted with Troy Remington in my mind, in my heart, and inside every part of me.

My Review

I received this book in return for an honest review.

Zara and Troy end up at the same party on a big yacht neither is looking for anything but the instant spark is evident as they decide to leave the party. What starts is a long distance of seeing each other here and there quickly grows into a love worth fighting for. I loved Zara that she was willing to do whatever it takes to succeed at being a fashion designer. I think she's just what Troy needed because he was so drawn into work and taking care of the family he almost lost out on it all.

I was hooked right from the start with Zara and Troy's story it has just the right amount of spice to story and I spent the whole time cheering them on as they both tried to make things work. I like that they aren't perfect it made them feel real and I really felt like I was able to connect with both of them.

This is the second book and the series and while I loved the first this ones ending was chef's kiss. I loved how it all played out. It's a real imperfect romance which makes it perfect. I love when characters have flaws but I think that's what makes them more enjoyable. I devoured this in just one reading session it was hard to put down because I wanted to get my HEA. The author did another beautiful job creating a captivating story with characters for me to fall in love with. My only complaint is I didn't get to see Zara's fashion show, I bet that would have been amazing. I loved it and can't wait to read the next one.

Synopsis

This #1 New York Times bestseller is a highly addicting enemies-to-lovers Romantasy with razor-sharp banter, heart-stopping action, and blistering hot romance.

Do not touch the sword. Do not turn the key. Do not open the gate.

Twenty-four-year-old Saeris Fane is good at keeping secrets. No one knows about the strange powers she possesses, or the fact that she has been picking pockets and stealing from the Undying Queen’s reservoirs for as long as she can remember. In the land of the unforgiving desert, there isn’t much a girl wouldn’t do for a glass of water. But a secret is like a knot. Sooner or later, it is bound to come undone.

When Saeris comes face-to-face with Death himself, she inadvertently reopens a gateway between realms and is transported to a land of ice and snow. The Fae have always been the stuff of myth, of legend, of nightmares…but it turns out they’re real, and Saeris has landed right in the middle of a centuries-long conflict that might just get her killed.

The first of her kind to tread the frozen mountains of Yvelia in over a thousand years, Saeris mistakenly binds herself to Kingfisher, a handsome Fae warrior, who has secrets and nefarious agendas of his own. He will use her Alchemist’s magic to protect his people, no matter what it costs him… or her. Death has a name. It is Kingfisher of the Ajun Gate. His past is murky. His attitude stinks. And he’s the only way Saeris is going to make it home.

Be careful of the deals you make, dear child. The devil is in the details... Now with an embossed cover, silver foiling, and an updated interior design.

N.B. Quicksilver contains depictions of graphic violence/adult situations and is therefore recommended for readers 17+. For a full list of tropes and TWs, please visit the author's website.

My Review

I can't believe I've been sitting on this since it came out. I've got multiple copies and yet I didn't start it. I wish I had because I'm a tad bit obsessed. Saeris is such a great character she's easy to connect with and you can't help cheering her on as she learns to work with quicksilver. Kingfisher is every bit the swoonworthy ancient tortured fae warrior that she needs. I loved Carrion he's just a perfect little edition to the story as well as Lorreth and Renfis.

I've heard nothing but amazing things about this one and I'm so mad at myself for waiting to experience Kingfisher. He's on the top of the book boyfriend list for sure. The real question I have is he the better shadow daddy? Now I feel like I need to re-read and compare them. This is a book I could have listened to in one sitting if real life would leave me alone. I plan to devour the next one in one sitting. I think Saeris and Kingfisher are the perfect power couple when it comes to romantasy. She can hold her own in a fight and I love that about her. They have great banter and this undeniable steamy connection.

This was my first book by the author but I'm hooked. She grabbed me right from the start and didn't let go till the final page. I'm still in my book hangover days later. I need to read Brimstone next as I can't wait to see how the story goes. The author has done a beautiful job creating a world where I want to step through the door and find my place in the fae world. That doesn't happen very often. Quicksilver is a captivating story that kept me hooked long after it ended. Highly recommend not waiting it's perfect the right balance of story to romance. Plus who doesn't love a cute fox.
