January's topic is Winter
I'm not a huge fan of winter. I grew up in Idaho so winter was always frozen cold and snow. I actually hate the snow it's cold wet and it makes traveling harder when you have things to do. Thankfully I live in beautiful California where our weather is chilly down to the 20's on a bad day but most of the time it's light jacket weather. Right now it's 41 with a high of 68 and mid 70's by the end of the week. I can see the shorts coming out in the next few weeks.
I did have an amazing winter adventure.
I had a great moment's this winter from Squadron Christmas parties to family parties. We attended my husbands Christmas party at the Budweiser brewery they had a lovely jazz band. Lots of good company, food, we had games.
I baked 4 cheesecakes for the family Christmas Eve party. Another night of good family, food and even games. I do love every chance I can get to bake for the family and this year after 2 cheescakes wasn't enough I baked 4 this year.
On Christmas day I baked my first Prime Rib. I was a little nervous but everyone said it was very good. My little girl who's super picky even ate it. I did decide that I'm not a huge fan of fatty meat and next year I'm going to start a new tradition for Christmas dinner. We will see how it plays out.
I decided in 2018 that I would become a wine drinker. I know that sounds kind of weird but everyone I know loves to drink wine and I would like to be able to join in. So far this is my favorite wine that I have tried. I may just be a fan of pink mascotos but I'm going to work my way up to red wine.
I have lots of blogging, reading, crafty plans for 2018 which happens every winter. I spend a couple months planning and starting off the year with a bang.
Almost a month into 2018 and the winter is quickly turning into spring here. Onto a new year.
