Cover Love

I've always been addicted to beautiful covers. I'm notorious for picking books based on the cover alone. My TBR grows leaps and bounds everyday because of so many amazing book covers I come across daily? I felt like this was a great way to share my growing addiction of book covers. My goal for 2022 is to share as many as I can and maybe you'll find something that catches you're fancy as much as they caught mine.

Today I have one that I happened across recently it's cover instantly captured my attention

Title: The Unlove Spell
Author: Kendra L. Saunders

Synopsis

Magic has certain rules. You can’t really make someone fall in love with you, but you can prevent them from falling in love with anyone else… that is, if you’re any good with magic in the first place.

Marling Ellis is a young witch who accidentally places a spell on herself to prevent her heart from ever belonging to anyone but Viktor Arson, the sexy, aristocratic Russian writer she shared a passionate, but brief, fling with. Marling’s spent the five years since their fling alone, occupying her personal time with the internet and hot chocolate. Viktor, a fae prince, has gone on to become a world-famous writer. He can also still make a killer good cup of coffee (even from lame coffee beans) and wear the hell out of some leather pants. Marling finds herself caught up in a plot by one of her former magic teachers and ends up in Russia, hunting Viktor down and trying to figure out if she really loves him, or if her feelings are just a product of the unlove spell.

Doesn't this one just sound captivating? I'm curious to check it out with it's beautiful cover.

I've eagerly been waiting for this one to come out. The cover is stunning and the synopsis sounds like a must to me.

Den of Monsters
by Avery Song

Synopsis

I woke to the soothing sound of a peaceful serenade.

Except there’s nothing peaceful about being kidnapped after being sold to the Devils of Sin.

This never should have happened, because I did everything right. I accepted the invitation, attended the masquerade in the depth of the forsaken forest, and danced with whomever requested. The longer one remains, the more debt is cleared from the family name, so I danced through the night.

I survived to the final note — and let me emphasize the “survive” part — but I’m starting to realize where the real problem lies. I didn’t dance with one suitor...I danced with five Devils, and each immediately laid a claim on me.

Joaquin. Talon. Dagger. Croix. Creed.

Now here I am, kidnapped and held for ransom by sick men with bigger debts and troubles than my bankrupt family and their dark organization combined, but I’m no damsel in distress.

I’m actually stalling.

There’s a rumor that the Devils of Sin are dangerous men of royal stature during the day and ruthless monsters at the peak of the night. I want to see them again…to touch and enjoy the illusions that left me panting for more.

I’m willing to enter the den of monsters to escape the true demons lurking in the shadows of desperation.

All in exchange for my freedom.

DEN OF MONSTERS is a steamy 187,000+ words STANDALONE.

This reverse harem monster romance is filled with possessive monsters with a hint of psychosis, a badass FMC who may be even crazier, and loads of "bump in the dark" heated scenes that will make one blush in public - literally. Note that these den of sinister monsters can do various "things" with their bodies, so be warnedAll sexual encounters are consensual.

I just added this one to my TBR list. Isn't she beautiful? I'm super excited to check this one out. The synopsis sounds intriguing.

Forgotten Fae
by Willow Reign

Synopsis

A night that almost killed me has turned me fae.

It may sound like a blessing but trust me, it's a curse.

I’m Autumn Briar and I want nothing to do with the fae. They've run roughshod over humans for as long as I can remember and they've never done a damn thing for me.

But two hot jerks claiming to be fae princes have turned up to 'collect' me (well one came to kill me) and before I can tell them where to stick it, Fern and Asher whisk me away to Brightvale Academy in Faerie where I will almost certainly be killed.

The students here are as gorgeous as they are dangerous. Old magic and dark secrets lurk around every corner, and to make it even better, I've inherited a feral unicorn. She's a damned beast that scares the bejeezus out of me. I thought unicorns were meant to be nice? Not this one.

One distraction from my impending death is my sexy professor, Mr. Sericeus. But he's an Unseelie with dark secrets of his own. Go figure.

I need to find out why I was really pulled into this mess. But to win my freedom, I'll need the help of those infuriatingly gorgeous fae princes who have promised to initiate me to help me come into my powers.

I have no choice but to come into my powers before it's too late or be forgotten forever. I just need to do it without falling in love with all four enticing fae.

I think I'm in trouble...

Forgotten Fa is the first book of Brightvale Academy, a new adult reverse harem series filled to the brim with magical fantasy and slow-burn yet still steamy romance. It's a why-choose romance that starts with a diverse harem of four including a hot prof, an enemy-to-lover, a friend with feels and one ripped fae prince, adding further in the series.

All characters are 19+ and the series is suitable for most readers who love reverse harem with a flustered yet feisty heroine.

Pretty Broken Things

by Rory Miles

Synopsis

To the unknowing, the circus is majestic. Marvelous. Mysterious.

For me, the caravan is a prison. A sadist’s trophy case full of pretty, broken things.

If being caged isn’t enough, three men haunt me like shadows.

The Aerialist might kill me.

The Freak might die.

And The Seer might watch it all happen with a wicked grin on his beautiful face.

If we can come together to defeat The Ringmaster, a terrifying, dark magician, we can find our freedom.

Escaping the Caravan of Freaks is harder than it seems because freedom’s just a pretty way to say I have nothing left to lose.

Winter Fae Queen

by Lexi C. Foss & J.R. Thorn

Synopsis

The Royal Water Fae I’m in love with just hired me to be his intern.

Oh. My. Fae.

I only applied for the job because of a dare, and now I’m packing my bags for the North Pole.

No big deal. I can totally be professional. I haven’t seen him since the Academy anyway. Maybe he’s gotten fat from all the Winter Fae sweets?

Except, no. Kalt hasn’t gotten fat at all. He’s still perfectly chiseled and even more gorgeous than I remembered. And worse? He has two equally hot friends.

A royal elf named Lark.

And a sexy-as-sin selkie named Norden.

I am so screwed. And I mean that literally because the elf and the selkie seem to think I’m their mate. Only Kalt completely disagrees.

Oh, and not only am I dealing with these three hotties, but my water magic is also on the fritz. I accidentally stirred up a snowball fight in the middle of Santa’s workshop, then ice tinsel started shooting from my fingertips like confetti.

It’s a problem.

One I’m not sure how to solve.

So, yeah, wish me luck! And send warm vibes. I really need some help melting all this snow…

Winter Fae Holiday is a quirky paranormal romance featuring a Water Fae from the Elemental Fae universe and her three potential mates.

Misfits of Magic

by Tricia Owens

Synopsis

They're the Other Guys. Not cool, mediocre at magic, and absolutely clueless.

Forming a rock band sounded fun to Kenzie and her friends, but there are two pretty big problems with the idea: 1) they don't know how to play their instruments and 2) every time they perform, they accidentally unleash weird dark magic upon their city. Even worse, the police think they're responsible. As if they could ever be responsible!

On the plus side, they have Kenzie, their oblivious but well-meaning fairy princess lead singer, along with three disgraced detectives who know nothing about magic. On the downside, they're all incompetent.

Dreamers never say die, though, and these friends are determined--and maybe just a little bit motivated by possible jail time--to solve the mystery of these unexpected magical side effects before a genuine catastrophe occurs. Working alongside a special police task force means they're sure to get results. Right?

Well...

If only these magically inept friends could save a dollar, much less the world. It's a good thing luck is as powerful as magic.

Misfits of Magic is a goofy, low-stakes urban fantasy adventure about friendships and chasing your dreams (no matter how dumb.) Because sometimes, all you can do is laugh.

Charm

by J.A. Armitage

Synopsis

As the second-born heir to the royal family, I never expected to take the throne. But then someone kills my sister, leaving the job to me. And before I can rule, I must marry.

Enter one-hundred of the kingdom’s most eligible bachelors. They all want to win my hand and the power that comes with it. But I only have eyes for one. A servant boy. They’ll never accept our love, especially since he was born of the Magi—a race of despised and oppressed magic users.

So I go along with their charade, all the while looking for a way to change our fates…

What if fairy tales don’t always end in happily ever after? What if, instead, of riding off into the sunset with my heart’s true prince, I am condemned to a loveless future of servitude to a kingdom I never wanted to claim?

Voodoo Academy

by Theophilus Monroe

(Goodreads)(Amazon)

I'm in love with this one, it's been on my TBR for a while and the synopsis sounds amazing who doesn't love the idea of a Voodoo Academy.

Synopsis

Being possessed has its advantages…

Annabelle Mulledy survived a Voodoo attack on her family as a child—but it left her possessed by the spirit of a nearly 200 year-old-girl. This girl, however, came with strange abilities bestowed upon her in the after life. When Kalfu, an evil Loa, discovers Annabelle he hopes to use her abilities to his advantage—to escape the spiritual realm and take a corporeal form. When Ogoun, the Loa of War, intervenes he recruits Annabelle to join him as a student at the Voodoo Academy. Will Annabelle master the arts, and fend off Kalfu’s spiritual assaults? Or, is she ultimately a puppet in a battle between Voodoo demigods?

Voodoo Academy is the first book in the Gates of Eden: The Voodoo Legacy series. Theophilus Monroe’s Annabelle Mulledy is a snarky badass heroine with attitude. Monroe draws on the legend and myth of Voodoo lore in a way that neither caricatures the arts as “demonic” nor glosses over the dark side of the Voodoo tradition. With dark magic, dragons, vampires, and a slow burn academy romance the Gates of Eden: The Voodoo Legacy series has something for everybody.

The Magic of Discovery

by Britt Andrews

(Goodreads)(Amazon)

Synopsis

Growing up in Emerald Lakes, population six hundred and eighty-two, had been safe and comfortable. Running my own magic shop and making a living off my green witchcraft, I have no complaints. Sure, there’s my ex, who never understood the word ‘no’, but there’s also the lovable and eccentric townspeople who feel more like one huge extended family, and let’s not forget my boy-crazed Gran who keeps us all on our toes.

...But something has apparently been missing, and the stars take it upon themselves to correct the problem, dropping four sexy men at my door. Well, not literally. They move into the apartment above my shop, so I’m their landlord. Drawn in by these mages who blew into town on a work assignment, a whole different kind of magic starts to grow between us, but my powers are doing things they shouldn’t, and there’s also a pesky prophecy to unravel.

Strange, unnatural things are brewing in Emerald Lakes, and I can’t ignore the sinking suspicion that something life-changing is headed my way.

Discovering a whole new world of magic, I can only hope I don’t lose myself in the madness.

This is a full-length RH romance, which includes MMFMM content. It ends on a cliffhanger and contains brief references to domestic violence and other themes that readers may find triggering.
