Synopsis
A spicy, adult romantasy retelling of "Bluebeard" and "Little Red Riding Hood," two of Charles Perrault's most famous stories.

Sybil Fallon has a habit of summoning demons unintentionally and at the most inconvenient times. When she, her mother, and her sister are invited to an upcoming dinner at the estate of the mysterious Theron Beresford, Sybil is desperate to ensure that her ability won't manifest and ruin the evening. But when she seeks help from her reclusive former mentor, Grandmother Riquet, she discovers that the old woman has changed in dangerous and disturbing ways... and so has the forest in which she lives.

As Sybil struggles to control an ability she doesn't understand, she becomes strongly attracted to Beresford, the brawny, handsome estate owner. His distinctive blue beard isn't his only unusual trait. In addition to socially acceptable dinner parties, he also likes to host secret gatherings in the refurbished barn on his property. Sybil's first invitation to one of his naughty midnight parties opens her mind to a world of new pleasures. But with local disappearances inciting the suspicion of the neighbors, and Beresford's secretive nature raising questions in her own mind, Sybil must navigate an increasingly treacherous path through the forest of her circumstances in pursuit of the future she wants.

My Review

I received Blue Beard, Red Hood in return for an honest review from the author.

Sybil is unique she unintentionally summons these demon creatures and fears that no one will want her. The creatures she summons live in the woods next to her house. When a handsome stranger shows up in town and has eyes for her she falls hard for him. Beresford has his own set up secrets but will they survive when the secrets are revealed.

I loved Sybil she's such a great character even when she's accidentally summoning these creatures. I'm not super familiar with the blue beard story but I loved the Red Riding Hood elements. Beresford is an interesting character and I found his whole story fascinating. I really liked the characters I felt that I was able to connect with them and Beresford is just swoonworthy.

I devoured this one in just a few short hours I was hooked by the opening line and drawn in till the very last page. This is a beautiful story with just the right balance of story to spice. I've read so many of the authors retelling as she's one of my favorite auto buy authors but this one might be my favorite. With captivating characters, a steamy story, and just enough secrets to keep me guessing till the very end. I loved every moment of the story and can't wait to see what comes next. Highly recommend if you like spicy retellings.

Because Cal? He’s been listening. The moment he saw Izzy, he knew she was his. Did he hack her phone? Absolutely. But who could blame him? A woman like Izzy deserves to be cherished by someone who truly knows her worth—and he’ll do anything to be that man.

So when Izzy finally sees her boyfriend for who he really is, and the danger she’s unknowingly been caught up in, Cal is ready to protect her, no matter the cost. Even if it means revealing the truth.

My Review

I received Love Me Stalk Me in return for an honest review from Grey's Promotions.

Izzy's not living her dream life, work is stressful, her boyfriend is awful, and she can't stop thinking about the new guy at work. So at her friends insistence she signs up for an AI chatbot to talk to since she can't talk to her boyfriend. She makes creates an AI guy to chat with just like the new guy at work little did she know she really is talking to her crush at work.

I love Izzy and Cal they complement each other so well and have this sweet steamy chemistry. I really felt that I was able to connect with both of them. I even loved her bestie Amanda who always was there when she needed her the most. I love how he helped her love herself enough to realize she wasn't happy and to search for it. I also really enjoyed all the text messages between her ant the AI chatbot.

This is my first book by the author and I'm obsessed I devoured this one in just one reading session. I couldn't put it down as I had to know what was going to happy. I love that it's a darker stalking story that kept me giggle so it was light too. The author has done a beautiful job of creating a story that has just the right amount of spice. This story has it all it's a sweet romance, that's got spice, action and just enough laughs till the very end. Highly recommend if you enjoy a light stalker romance.
