The Sunday Post

The Sunday Post
Hosted by:

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer~ It's a chance to share new ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Another week of Quarantine this one has been a lot warmer. We've been in the mid to upper 80s and even into the low 90's. The kid and I have spent another week working on homework and staying inside. Thankfully, we have air conditioning with all this time at home it's going to be a hot summer. I'm hoping to get a few more weeks of enjoyable weather so we can sit outside before the intense heat sets in.

Read the last week

I didn't do as well as I would have hoped with the Dewey read-a-thon yesterday keeping the kid distracted makes it hard to read in peace. I did get a few books finished though, and I had to DNF one that I've been struggling with for the last couple of weeks. I really enjoyed all three books that I read yesterday.

Baking
It's been to warm I haven't done much baking this week. I plan to start baking early in the am this week to avoid the heat. I'm hoping to make scones this week, bagels, and a couple of loaves of bread. I found my grandmother's family cookbook so going to start making cookies to pass the time. A new recipe every week is the goal, and depending on how they turn out I might even make my own spin on them.

Quote for the week
I think this one.

I'm still an Instagram addict you should check it out lots of fun!!!

  1. I didn't do as well as I wanted with Dewey because I had a headache all day. I think I was just too tired as I'm feeling great today. I got up early the 2 days before and I guess that was sort of a mistake.

I made a homemade ice cream recipe from Ilona Andrews' blog post so I'm looking forward to having that tonight after it freezes.

    Stay safe and be well.

  2. Sounds like GLORIOUS weather. We're pretty excited to be hitting 60 here today. I don't think I've baked since the first week. I'm sure I'll get back to it soon :) Take care!
