The Sunday Post

The Sunday Post
Hosted by:

The Sunday post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer~ It's a chance to share new ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

We've had lots of rain over the last week as well as high winds. They even knocked out the power for hours which for me was fine but the family was freaking out with no power. Of course it was in the evening when it was super dark.

It was super quiet we have finals for my teenager and the little one is just in 1st grade. They have been keeping me busy this week. Hoping next week will be more relaxed.

Fun posts you may have missed at TRD this week.

  1. I hate when the power goes out in the evening! It ALWAYS happens in the evening! lol If it happened in the middle of the day it would be so bad. The weather around here has been really bipolar. One day it's almost in the 60s and the next it drops down to the 30s. Probably why everyone is sick around here. I hope you are able to get your Goodreads goal! I challenged myself to 200 books again this year. I got around 285 in 2016 and around 250 in 2015 but I didn't want to stress myself out and go with a higher number. lol I've read 13 so far, I think. So I'm doing pretty good! Hope you enjoy your new books and have a great weekend

  3. Oh, I LOVE windy days!! We have a high wind advisory in effect from noon until 7:00 PM tonight. All that wind sure takes the edge off the heat! Lol. And we haven't had a power outage, thank God. I really feel for you, getting one in the dark.

How lucky you are to have kids! I never managed to have any. Yours must keep you really busy! But still, kids are WONDERFUL!!

I'm going to check out your reviews of "A Christmas Gift" and "Xoe". Both of these books look really good!

I'll be checking out some of those reading challenges, too. Might sign up for at least one.

Oooooh, that cheesecake sure looks SCRUMPTIOUS!! And the curry looks delicious, as well. Nice pics!! :)

Thanks for sharing!! Hope you and your family have a WONDERFUL week ahead!! <3 :)

  5. It sounds as if you're busy and I had to laugh about the power outage. I had two friends and their 5yr olds over at my place one night last year when the power went out and they were equally excited and scared I think!
