I'm cursed. There's no cure for what ails me. I'm part man, part draugar; a Viking warrior shifter who protects the dead. I'm a selfish bastard, numb to the world around me, surviving only to avenge my wife and mother's murder. One emotion —anger—keeps me alive. At least, it did until I met TJ Knight and my icy heart began to beat once more.

I was all wrong for her yet I craved her in ways I never imagined. So making a deal with her to save that cute ass from a death mark probably wasn't the smartest thing I'd ever done. If I could manage to keep my hands off her, I might just stay in one piece.

The other thing? It turns out we have a mutual enemy. If we can work together, we might be able to find and destroy him. Trouble is, now it seems I have to kill TJ to give her a chance at living. Killing was my favourite thing but bringing her back to life? Now that might prove a problem...
Review
Kol is a warrior with the power to protect the dead continuing to live even though his wife and mother are long dead. He seeks revenge for their death but hasn’t be able to get his revenge until he sends his mark into the world. Little did he know that TJ would be the one to receive his mark. It’s thanks to TJ that Kol isn’t as focused on getting his revenge he’s finding that he has feelings he thought long dead.

TJ is on the hunt for the one who killed her parents drawn to Woodland Creek with a case of grave robbing. It’s while in town that TJ encounters Kol but there is more to him than just the handsome guy who is infuriating. With her marked for death the only one who can save her is Kol but will he help her or will he get the revenge he so desperately wants?

I like both Kol and TJ they both have issues it’s no surprise with everything they have had to deal with. However, things work with them they complement each other even if they just don’t know it yet. What Kol thought was right just happens to be wrong and that TJ is exactly what he needs. I like the chemistry between the two it’s steamy but sweet.

I’ve been working my way through the Woodland Creek series since it’s quickly become one of my favorites series. This isn’t your typical kind of shifter story but add in some Norse mythology and you’ve got a unique spin on the shifter concept. While Kol is a shifter his shift isn’t the typical animal you would expect at all and I like it. The Viking’s Curse is a unique captivating novel that captured my heart as well as my imagination. I loved the characters I found the easy to connect with and I loved how they work together. The author’s writing style is beautiful it flows along creating a beautifully created story. This is my first novel by the author but I can’t wait to check out more books. I high recommend this series.
