The Sunday Post

The Sunday Post
Hosted by:

The Sunday post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer~ It's a chance to share new ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

This week
I'm in Northern California this weekend is the first time it's really felt like fall with the cooler day that didn't require AC but it's supposed to be really hot mid 90's later this week. I can't wait for it to cool off and turn into hot cocoa weather all day long. Didn't do a lot this week nice and quiet which is enjoyable. The husband is in town which is nice but he cramps my reading time. Thankfully it's football Sunday so I'll have all day to read and no need to cook with all the left overs from yesterday.

It's been a great week made a few loaves of bread as well as buns this week. I also have two new sourdough starts going hoping to do some baking later this week with them. I'm still struggling with sourdough but one of these days I'll get it. I made peanut butter cinnamon rolls this week also they turned out really good but I think I'm going to make cranberry rolls next. The husband isn't to sure so we will have to wait and see. Since my husband is in town this week he will be making me his amazing curry can't wait!

We watched a couple of movies Inside Out with the kids they loved it. We also at last saw Pixels it's so much better than I expected it would be. We used to buy all Blu-ray's but it's so much easier to just buy the hd version on amazon prime. I watched the new Jurrassic World last week. I still can't stop giggling about running from a T-rex in high heels. I don't have any issues walking in them but just not sure I could run in them.

  2. I think Pixels looked fun even though it got bad reviews. We might have to get that one... and I agree about Prime, it's so easy!

I was a little disappointed with Jurassic World but yeah the running in heels thing- got a kick out of that. Strong ankles I guess LOL. Hope the new Riordan is good, I want to get to that one too.

  3. All those breads you made sound delicious! I can't make bread, it always fails for some reason. I did make cinnamon roll susccessful twice, but that's about it. I hope to watch Pixels soon, it sounds like a fun movie. I hope you'll enjoy your new books and have a great week!

  7. It's getting cooler here in Florida too - I even put the heating on this morning! I'm originally from England, Florida has ruined me for cooler weather lol!

I agree about Pixels being so much better than expected! The reviews were so scathing but it was fun, and nerdy.

  8. I'm glad you enjoyed PIxels. I was wondering about it as I've seen the previews and wasn't sure what sort of age group it would suit.

  9. Busy week! I loved Inside Out too. It's good for kids, IMO. I want to get a copy of Magnus Chase too, but I already spent a lot last month that I promised myself not to buy anymore this year. I don't know how long I could last though. LOL.

I added some (okay half) of your ebook purchases to my TBR. The covers are so attractive! I hope the stories don't disappoint because they sound amazing. I understand the freebie clicking. I always fall prey for those. I have books to read that will last me a lifetime. Wish I could read like 10 books a day, right?

    P.S. Followed you on Instagram.
