#DustOffYourBookshelf #30

#DustOffYourBookshelf #30

Stormi @ Books, Movies, Reviews! Oh My! and I have teamed up to encourage ourselves and others to use Instagram more.
So we come up with #Dustoffyourbookshelf where you display a book that you have had on your shelf for a long time and probably forgotten about. If you have time to grab it off the shelf and read it that is great, but you don’t have to read what you display. You can be creative in your displaying or you can just take a picture of it on your shelf. We are mainly doing this to get into instagram but thought it would be fun to do a post on Thursdays since we didn’t have a lot of post normally for Thursdays.  If you would like to follow along feel free to make a post and link it below. It’s not technically a meme yet unless we get some followers! :) You can follow us on instagram @bmreviewsohmy & @ReadingDiaries

Today's choice is one that I couldn't wait to buy but haven't gotten around to it yet. I hate to admit it that it's been sitting on my review pile way to long. The cover is stunning and the synopsis sounds promising.

Solstice
by P.J. Hoover
(Goodreads)

Synopsis
Piper's world is dying.

Each day brings hotter temperatures and heat bubbles that threaten to destroy the earth. Amid this global heating crisis, Piper lives under the oppressive rule of her mother, who suffocates her even more than the weather does. Everything changes on her eighteenth birthday, when her mother is called away on a mysterious errand and Piper seizes her first opportunity for freedom.

Piper discovers a universe she never knew existed—a sphere of gods and monsters—and realizes that her world is not the only one in crisis. While gods battle for control of the Underworld, Piper’s life spirals out of control as she struggles to find the answer to the secret that has been kept from her since birth.

An imaginative melding of mythology and dystopia, Solstice is the first YA novel by talented newcomer P. J. Hoover.

Feel free to dig through your shelves and share what you find.
Please leave a comment telling me where I can check it out.

  1. I absolutely love the idea. I just recently decided to tackle reading all my unread books and as a consequence have a maaaassive TBR.Your pick definitely sounds and looks interesting, I'll probably add it to my ever-growing Goodreads TBR. Thanks for sharing

    1. I thought it was clever. After all I have a crazy book hoarding addiction. I should really start working on the ones I have but with so many exciting new ones it's hard. Thanks for stopping by.
