This Week's Question:How do you Organize your books? Either at home on your bookshelves or on your reading-device, or on your bookish platform like Goodreads,Leafmarks or Booklikes.
Answer:
I don't I'm a mess. I have books all over the house. Three bookshelves overflowing with books. I have books in stacks by my bed, in the living room even on the coffee table. When it comes to eBooks. I try to keep track of all my books I've purchased but sometimes I don't put it down and happen to pick up a second or third copy. I keep saying one day I'll make a list but hasn't happened yet. I've started a spreadsheet but when I'm on amazon I forget to check before I buy. I don't have more than a couple books on my kindles at one time or another. After writing this it's clear I need to get more organized.
How do keep track of your books?
My house is overflowing with books too! I really need a new bigger bookcase but even that wouldn't make much of a dent. My dream is to have a room I can turn into a library!

I'm a bit obcessed with organization, so I organize my books alphabetically by author's last name.

Haha, I have to get more organized as well. The only books that are all over the place are the ebooks I receive for review, if they're pdf's they're all over my computer and the rest are on my kindles, I have 2 + my phone. My bookshelf is organized though, it looks good & it's organized by what I've read & the sesries books are all together. :)

Heehee! Nice! While I don't have all my books in my room anymore, I do know for the most part, what series I have in the basement on those bookshelves and the one shelf in the family room! Most of the ones downstairs I already had signed so they're safe! LOL!
ReplyDeleteOtherwise I'm old school alphabetical order with my physical books. My kindle? Just whatever order I download books to it in. So yeah. a lot of those first unread books are wayyyy in the back somewhere! Goodreads is the same. No real organization, just however I click in my "want to read" scheme!

I have all of my physical books in order, by genre and alphabetically by author. I don't have my Kindle books in good order though. And I never take any off my Kindle either so I always have tons to scroll through to find anything.
