Top Ten Tuesday!

Top Ten Tuesday!
Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke And The Brookish. Who doesn't love lists. They make life easy! And fun!! It's always a never ending topic.

This week's topic:
Top ten books Mandy would love to read if she could only get them to pick her choices.

I started a book club here on base it's typically about the same 8 girls give or take a few. We meet once a month so not to often which is alright. They are all awesome girls who I enjoy having over and talking about books with. We don't always see eye to eye on ever book choice some enjoy them and some don't but we all have a good time. I've picked several since it started but these are the next 10 I would pick if they left me pick each one. I've got all these on my bookclub bookshelf on goodreads.

Just a side note I'm listening to punk remixes of 80's music.
1. Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris ~ I think this one would be fun to watch to read we could read one or the whole series for those who enjoy it. Than we can binge watch the TV show since I'm so behind. Bonus I get to read a book that's been sitting on my shelf for years and catch up on the show I keep putting off. It is over after all.

2. 1st to Die by James Patterson ~ It's been ages since I've read a James Patterson novel. I picked this one out because we area  group of women who get together and discuss books maybe not murders but it could be fun.

3. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell ~ I picked this one up a while back with intentions of read it. It's a standalone which is what they like and I think it sounds like a light read that they will enjoy. I hope anyway.

4. The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater ~ This one sound awesome and I've recently fallen in love with the authors Raven Boys series.
5. The Duff by Kody Keplinger ~ This one sounds like a fun read and it's going to become a movie. We can read and than catch it at the theaters.

6. Dash & Lily's Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn, David Levithan ~ Another one that sounds like fun and I would enjoy reading with my little group of ladies.

7. Don't Look Back by Jennifer L. Armentrout ~ I love JLA and would love for the rest of them to fall in love with her too. This one sounds like a thriller which would be fun to read.

8. Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson ~ This is one I've seen around for a while and have been wanting to check out. It's a standalone and it could be good.
9.Dark Days by Kate Ormand ~ Never can have to many Dystopian post apocalyptic books. This one sounds good.

10. Feed by Mira Grant ~ Zombie book I've been meaning to get around to reading. Book club may be the motivation to read it.

I have a great list of potential book club books. I may even be able to talk them into reading most of them but I won't expect them to read them all.

What's on your top ten list this week?

  2. OOOoh great picks! I really enjoyed the Southern Vampire Mystery series--that was its old series name! Around True Blood premiering it changed to Sookie Stackhouse! Though the later books started losing the mystery element, perhaps that was also reason to change the name! But the first few were awesome! I'm behind on the show as well! I don't have HBO so Santa had to bring me those last two seasons! Luckily, season 7 came out this year on DVD too!

AND OOOOOOOHHHHHH!!! I LOVED Tiger Lily! I read that as an ARC its release year and just loved loved loved it!! It was so spectacular!! I loved the different take on the Peter Pan story!

Don't Look Back was yet another incredible read! But it's JLA, so that's obvious!

I still need to read The Scorpio Races as well! Loved her Wolves of Mercy series! Great picks!

    Here's my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!

  3. I've read Dead Until Dark, but all the others I haven't (but really want to). I feel bad that I haven't read Fangirl or The Scorpio Races, I definitely need to read those soon. With The Duff movie in theaters next month, that would be a great choice for a book club. I've heard fantastic things about Feed, I've always meant to read it. I think your book club should totally let you pick a few books!
