Top Ten Tuesday!

Top Ten Tuesday!
Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke And The Brookish. Who doesn't love lists. They make life easy! And fun!! It's always a never ending topic.

I'm playing around with my own graphic I'll be trying a few out of the next month. I want one unique to me.

This week's topic:

Top ten 2014 releases I meant to read but didn't get to.

I read several 2014 releases but just not as many as I had planned to read. I purchased a lot more than a read last year which seems to be the trend. I did have a lot of review books to read which is something I have cut back on. So many books so little time hopefully though I should be able to read them before the sequels come out.
1. The Jewel by by Amy Ewing ~ This one was on my must read but I just never seemed to find the time to read it. This month I plan too.

2. Talon by Julie Kagawa ~ I love the concept and cover for this one. It looks stunning on my bookshelf.

3. Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge ~ Beauty & the Beast is one of my favorite stories so of course this is a must. I just picked it up in excited in eBook and honestly it was forgotten.

4. Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins ~ I picked up this one in Ebook because I was dying to read it but I just never found the time.

5. Landry Park by Bethany Hagen ~ Another that looks lovely in Hard cover but I never found the time.

6. Maplecroft by Cherie Priest ~ This one was calling my name for a long time before it came out. I even pre-ordered it with hopes of reading it. Than my book club showed a little interest in it but we ended up doing another but this one was a next month. Which hasn't happened so I need to read it.

7. A Creature of Moonlight by Rebecca Hahn ~ This one I picked up purely because the main character is half human and half dragon.

8. Elusion by Claudia Gabel ~ I received this one for review but not sure why I never got around to it. Maybe it's because it was lost in the mass of kindle books.

9. Now That Your Here by Amy K. Nichols ~ I'm not sure about this one I like the synopsis so I picked it up last year with hopes of this year.

10. Gilded by Christina Farley ~ Picked this one up based on the cover and still plan to read it.

I think it's a great list full of books I own and hope to read in the near future at least sometime during 2015.
What's on your top ten list this week?

  2. I absolutely LOVED Rebel Belle! I did enjoy The Jewel and I'm looking forward to reading the sequel. I totally meant to read Talons, Landry Park and Elusion. I wasn't as enamored with Cruel Beauty as the rest of the world, I didn't like the characters, but the writing was gorgeous, so I'm hoping I'll like Crimson Bound better. I just bought Now That You're Here and I can't wait to read it! Great list of books, I hope you get to read them soon!

  3. The Jewel's cover is soooo pretty! I read Talon, but didn't like it as much as Julie Kagawa's other books....Cruel Beauty was really good! I also read Elusion and Rebel Belle and they were also ok.....
I hope you enjoy these and get around to reading them in 2015!

  7. Landry Park is one that I've been really excited to read as well though I have yet to do so. Sadly, I had been seeing a lot of reviews on it that weren't so good, though I'm still curious about it so I'll probably still give it a try. Elusion did sound pretty good. Everyone seemed to love Rebel Belle! I'll have to pick up a copy of that sometime soon! Great picks.

  8. Love the cover of Gilded! It has been tempting me as well. I've heard of a number of these, and some are on my "someday" list - that's the list of stuff that I might want to read, as opposed to my TBR of stuff I really want to read (and both lists are way, way too long.) I hope you get a chance to read all of these this year!

  9. You have to read Maplecroft. I read it as soon as it was released last year and loved it!

  10. I really enjoyed The Jewel. I forgot about Landry Park, but it is one I really want to read as well! I also got an ARC of Maplecroft at BEA last summer that I still need to read.
