Diary Entry

March 20th 2014

I've been a slacker on this post for the whole month. Finding time to write meaningful stuff has been tough the last few weeks. I'm afraid that I've had a little blog burnout which I'm sure we all get now and than. I'm really excited to get back into the groove.

News updates.

Not a whole lot...I'm boring.

We are on the list for a blue tick coonhound puppy but so far they haven't been born yet. Should be this month but it feels like forever. We've already named our future little girl Khaleesi in case you're not familiar it's from Game of Thrones. Our boy Grimm is dying for a buddy so as soon as this puppy is born the countdown will begin till we can bring her home.

I've been sewing more and more working on my skills but I'm still a beginner. The little one wants ton's of clothes so I have plans. I also want to make more purses.

I'm also doing a lot more crocheting recently as well since I'm currently working on a soft fluffy blanket.

I've been baking up a storm lots of cookies. I made 6 batches of Macarons before I got a successful cookie. They are clearly hard but doable. I'll stick to my simply amazing cloud meringue cookies that I love.

Reading

I'm currently reading

Werewolf in Denver by Vicki Lewis Thompson

I want to love this series but the insta sex thing is getting old. I'm about 40% in. The idea's are interesting but I honestly am not in the whole insta sex mood. The cover's are cute though.

I'm sure I'll finish the series because aside from the smut I enjoy the stories.

Next
I'm hoping to catch up on five this weekend. Only because the hubby is out of town for the whole weekend and maybe most of next week. Not like it's so hard flying from here to Hawaii, Guam, Australia and Alaska. They give the guys plenty of ground time. (My hubby is in the Air force but he's not a pilot)
Recipe for Disaster by Nina Harrington sounds like a cute Chic lit which is exactly what I'm in the mood for.

Randomness
So I'm thinking about it while I blog and thought I would share. I'm listening to 80's music while I blog as well as drinking a Coconut latte that I made fresh this morning. Current 80's song "What's love got to do with it" by Tina Turner. Plus since the house is asleep (Toddler and puppy) I don't have to worry about comments about the fact I can't carry a tune. (Which my hubby does all the time because according to him "he's the songbird of his generation". Yea I married a dork but I love him. Sound asleep goofballs. That poor sofa, between the dogs chewing and the toddlers spilled juice it's taken a beating. I'm just not sure the two of them are ready for a new sofa and I don't want them to destroy it.
Isn't he cute. He's making me curry in this picture. It's so yummy. I wish that I had asked him to make me a batch before he left darn.

Ok back to books.

New Books
These are a few of the new books I just learned about this week that I can't wait to get my hands on. Looks at those stunning covers.

Lailah by Nikki Kelly
The Jewel by Amy Ewing
Earthquake by Aprilynn Pike
Winterspell by Claire Legrand

All four have very captivating synopsis. I love the covers they are all beautifully done.

Surprisingly I didn't even know they existed till the last few days.

It's a beautiful day in California.
I hope you all have a fantastic day!
Enjoy the eyecandy.
