Diary Entry

Diary Update
August 22th 2013

It's thursday already. Where has the week gone?

My reading update
I started reading Orleans by Sherri L. Smith it's been on my TBR list for ages. I love the concept but I couldn't get into the book. I'm kind of bummed because it's concept is great just the way the main character drove me nuts. Oh well it's just not my kind of book however someones will love it I'm sure.

Since Orleans didn't work out I started Delirium. I finished Delirium. It's an interesting concept, I'm curious to read the next one.

Goodreads Funny
It's kind of funny I've got two books on my goodreads currently reading they look great paired to each other on my list. They almost look like one girl. This is the way they look on my currently reading list on goodreads.
Rewrite Redemption by J.H. Walker (Goodreads)
Delirium by Lauren Oliver (Goodreads)

Currently Reading
 Shudder by Samantha Durante
I really enjoyed the first one, and so for Shudder has been meeting my expectations.

Teaser of Shudder

For Alessa it was deja vu, this slow march, the hacking coughs at her back haunting her every thought.  It’d been the same with her parents and brother as they’d trekked the final miles to Paragon.  Only this time, she had no delusions about what they were marching toward.  She knew there was no magical cure at their destination.  She knew that getting there sooner would do nothing to delay the inevitable.  And she knew not to get her hopes up for a miraculous rescue that would never come.
And now, two days after Isaac’s first fateful sneeze – the same day that Isaac had paused every few steps to catch his breath and rest, the same day he’d finally succumbed to the need to sling his full weight on Alessa’s shoulders just to shuffle forward – she couldn’t deny it any longer.
Isaac was sick.  And it wasn’t just a cold, wasn’t the flu, wasn’t any malady she had any hope of curing no matter what tonic or elixir she could get her hands on.
He had the virus.
He was going to die.
Isaac coughed, a deep viscous cough that betrayed the bedlam churning inside his body.  He pitched forward, his weight dragging Alessa with him as the force of the spasm in his lungs stole his strength and hurtled him toward the ground.  Alessa braced her legs and caught them both at the last second, the effort sapping the last of her vitality.
“Isaac, you need to rest,” she pleaded.

Up Next
Released by Mia Fox
I love the cover, the concept sounds interesting.

Real life
Today is the first day of jr high. My 12 year old will start school meaning it's me and the little one during the day. I'm kind of excited. She's three but I want to get a early start on school. I'm going to make flash cards, and start working with her a few hours a day. She will have her own little class. Than we can paint or draw, or visit the park.

Book Wish List
I love Kate Evangelista she's one of my all time favorites. Savor has a stunning Cover!!! I've been anxiously dying to read the next book in the Taste Series. At last it has a synopsis!!!! I can't wait so excited!!!!!

Synopsis
Mature and explicit content. Not recommended for readers below 18-years-old.

Yup, you’ve got to be that old to read my story. Consider yourself warned.

I’m Dakota Collins, a tough talking, eye patch wearing, workaholic photography student. Why am I important? Well, maybe because I get to spend an entire month with Vicious, only the sickest indie rock band out there.

You see, I needed a subject for my Spring Showcase introspective in order to graduate. During a chance encounter at a club I’d been sent to cover for the Daily Gossip, our ironically named college paper, the features writer I usually teamed up with introduced me to the band—by accident, I might add. It involved a run in with a scary, bald bodyguard. Anyway, long story short, I signed a contract to take pictures of Vicious.

I should have known their handsome yet way too serious for his own good bassist, Luka Visraya, wouldn’t be able to keep his hands to himself. He’s gorgeous and all, but the way he smiles spelled trouble with a capital L. I’m in for a long month with him around.

Crazy shit happens and then some. So, if you want the skinny on Vicious and the events revolving around my stay at Lunar Manor, read my story.

Again, refer to the warning above.
