Diary Entry

Diary Update
July 6th 2013

I've been playing with creating my own daily feature and think I have it about figured out.

Happy Saturday!

I love lazy weekends however as of late my hubby has had lots of baseball and his new sports addiction Nascar. The trend when the hubby is home seems to be endless sports which works for me because I can read without being disturbed.

Currently Reading
Today I'm still reading Marking Time didn't get very much reading done like I had planned to. However I have the rest of the day to drink coffee and read so I should be able to make headway the story has me hooked. I have a perfect teaser to share as well.

My voice cracked with desperation I felt. "But I don't know anything! I don't even know if I can go back."
Archer wouldn't let me look away I can help you, but you have to trust me."
"I don't understand any of this. I don't know what I can do, or why you're even here. I don't know you, but you keep showing up in my life. Why?"
Archer's eyes were locked on mine. "Before that night I had my studies to keep me occupied and I was satisfied enough to dig into anything about the Immortals that I could find. And then I met you." He sounded agonized. I was afraid to even twitch in case I broke the spell that held us there " Falling for a Clocker from the future shattered my careful peace and left me vulnerable to things I'd never imagined."

What do I plan to read next?

I've got several I want to start I think I'm going with Night School by C.J. Daugherty or Another Little Piece by Kate Karyus Quinn but I'm not 100% sure yet.
I plan on reading both this weekend if I can snag a bunch of reading time. I do plan on watching my netflix movie Safe Haven that I got this weekend but other than that should be quiet.

Goodreads challenge
I signed up to play TCF's Words W/GR Friends. One of the goodreads groups I'm does a game challenge it's like words with friends but with a bookish twist and you play in teams. I really enjoyed last round so super excited for this one to start. Still time to sign up also. (here) I'm kind of shy so I really enjoy team challenge games.

Have a great weekend.

  1. I want to read Another Little Piece too, I really wish it was available on audio. I'll be glad when audio format becomes as common as ebooks.
That game sounds like fun! I am so unreliable though, I would end up making my team lose. I pick up and put down books pretty erratically.
I found this new bookish website this week called Booklikes. Have you heard of it? It's like a cross between Goodreads & a blog platform and it can be synced with your Goodreads.
Enjoy Safe Haven! I actually lived in the same town as Nicholas Sparks, (New Bern, NC) which is the setting for so many of his books.
