Diary Entry

Diary Update
July 11th 2013

This is a little Mandy post that I attempt daily. I love being able to ramble about all things bookish.
Randomness
Went to bed at midnight only to be up at 2, 3, and 5. Apparently he didn't want to sleep all night. Drawback he takes like 30 minutes to potty and stargaze so I get to read which allows me to wake up and be sucked into a book. So falling back to sleep is really hard.

Currently Reading
Night School by C.J. Daugherty (Goodreads) I'm about 22% but that's because my kindle fire battery wasn't charged so I had to pick a book off my ipod to read. It wasn't very productive since I spent like 40 minutes looking for one that would fit a challenge.

Teaser from Night School
Suddenly, much too close, a noise—a creaking sound, like footsteps on old wood. Right above her head.
Allie ducked and jerked her head back inside.
Whatever that was, it was on the roof.

Down below, she thought saw something dart across the grass into the woods. She held her breath to listen. Was that . . . laughter?

Spotlight
Today I decided since I'm reading a vampire book I will keep with the theme. I've decided to pick out a few vampire books I love as well as I'm wanting to read.

Some Girls Bite by Chloe Neill (Goodreads) I love the series I just have fallen behind. I need to catch up I keep buying the books but I've only read the first few.

Vampire Academy by Richelle Vincent (Goodreads) I've only read the first but I love this series. I hope to read the rest of them this summer.

Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost (Goodreads) I've got a copy I haven't started yet and it's been years I keep saying one day I will start it. I've heard so much about the series.

Black City by Elizabeth Richards (Goodreads) I've got a hardback copy that keeps screaming my name but my review pile is just so big. Soon I hope.

Newest wishlist addition
Strange Angels by Lili St. Crow

In Strange Angels, Dru Anderson has what her grandmother called “the touch.” (Comes in handy when you’re traveling from town to town with your dad, hunting ghosts, suckers, wulfen, and the occasional zombie.) Then her dad turns up dead—but still walking—and Dru knows she’s next. Even worse, she’s got two guys hungry for her affections, and they’re not about to let the fiercely independent Dru go it alone. Will Dru discover just how special she really is before coming face-to-fang with whatever—or whoever— is hunting her?

Worse part I have a ebook copy I didn't remember buying.

Have a great day!
