This and That

This and That

I decided to do my own little daily or semi daily post that shows a recap of my posts and a teaser or other thought I wanted to share.

This week I've been such a slacker when it comes to reading I think in part that my kindle keyboard which I still do most of my reading on has died and gone on to a better place. Thank you to amazon who loves me they are replacing it. I do have the Kindle Fire HD but the battery doesn't want to last as long as I tend to read so we are kind of having a love hate relationship. I should of just loaded my books to my husbands kindle since he hardly uses it. At least the new one will be here tomorrow woot. Then I can try to get back on track with my reading.

Today and yesterday because I've been a slacker I'm reading Exiled by RaShelle Workman. I'm in love with the concept plus Venus is a great character. I hope to finish today so I can start the next one. I picked a funny long teaser that I think I would have the same problem if I was a alien and had to shop for clothes the first time. Plus I love how beautiful the cover is.

        My Teaser

Venus only ever had her clothing made by those at the palace. The seamstresses would measure her. Then make her clothes. Sometimes they used magic or special thread, but never told her a specific size. Would this seem inhuman? A glance in Zaren’s direction revealed he was checking out clothes in the men’s section. “I’m not sure,” Venus finally admitted.

“No problem. I’ll get a couple of different sizes in the same jean and we’ll go from there. Okay?” Before waiting for Venus to reply, the girl pulled two jewel-encrusted pants off a rack. In another section of the store, she removed a long-sleeved white t-shirt. After that, she went to the jackets, grabbed one in black leather, with buckles and more jewels and studded things all over it.

What type of person does she take me for?

Venus moved toward a disorganized rack and began rearranging the pants so they were in order by size, the smallest in the front and the largest in the back. No way will I be leaving the store with that jacket or those jeans. I’ll try them on, at least, to figure out my size. She stepped to the next section and worked.

Off to finish Exiled.
