Review
I received this book from the author in return for a honest review. The book is about a 17 year old girl Alexia aka Zee to her friends. She's spending the summer in Rome, as luck would have it the first cute boy she meets just happens to be a vampire who wants to drink her blood. She gets away from him only to fall down a well to her death but to climb out a sire-less vampire. A sire-less vampire is prophesied to bring about the end of all the vampires, so the empress the leader of the vampires sends out her guards to bring her back to be put to death.

In her quest to get away she meets Lucas a vampire living with his father and a younger boy vampire they help her out as well as offer to help her get away from the guards but that proves impossible when the general shows up with his guards and Lucas and Zee are the last one standing he promises to protect her as his father would want him too. The pair is sets out on a quest to find Lucas sire in hopes that she will be able to save them from the General and his men who want to hunt her down.

I loved Zee she's just so innocent it's refreshing to read about getting used to being a vampire as well as the trouble that follows her in. I like the chemistry between Zee and Lucas there is so much potential, it's really sweet. The story instantly sucks you in with action, than keeps you wanting more as the story progresses. There are a few twists I didn't see coming and I love that the book kept me guessing. I found the characters well developed, that I had a good feel of who they are as well as what they look like. I found the story a unique twist on the vampires and I really liked that aspect of the story. I’ve always been a sucker for a vampire book since I was a kid so this book was right up my alley. Overall I loved the book, but I want more, I’m crossing my fingers and hoping for another chapter in the story. Plus I love the cover it's beautiful.
