Review:
I received this book for a honest review from the author Janet McNulty. It's the story of Mellow aka Mel Summers who moves to Vermont with her friend to attend college for a film degree. I gather both girls are on a budget so when Jackie finds a cheap apartment for rent they jump on it. Just happens that the apartment is haunted by the prior tenant Rachel who can't move on till her killer is found and her fiance cleared of her murder. At first Mel is the only one who can see Rachel and it doesn't take long before she promises to help solve the murder.
Between juggling school, a job at the candle store, the sexy guy across the hall and a band of biker guys Mel has her hands full. It's a quick read only 117 pages but it goes really fast because the book sucks you in. The characters are well written for such a short book. Since it is a quick read this book kept me on my toes and kept me craving more from the start. It may be short but what it lacks in pages it makes up for in story. Janet McNulty does a great job of leaving you happy in the end which is something I enjoy in a book.  A very entertaining short story. Highly recommend if your looking for a entertaining mystery that won't take you all day.

 Scene:

"I think I'm a bad influence on you." said Rachel

She smacked Reiss in the back of the head.

"Well, you know what they say." I began. "Sugar and spice-"

"And not so nice." finished Rachel

We high fived each other. At this point I didn't care if people thought I was crazy or not as I slapped thin air.
